Ok I have just finished painting the car and all the panels. Some things I had to do over, some just clear and others I sanded down to the plastic and started over with adhesion promotion. Its time for me to fix this hood and while it probably just fine with a wet sand that won't remove the few tiger stripes I see in it. This was one of the earlier parts I painted and I have gotten better since I painted this part. I have enough material to start re do it starting woth sealer but is that necessary? Can I just sand down to the base and start with base then clear and call it good?

What causes wavy clear? Not really orange peel but wavy.

This is the trim to my E30. Id like to paint it gloss black. The material is aluminum. Do I just use my regular sealer for the base I plan to use or is there something else I need to consider like a flex additive since the part will need to bend a little and be massaged into place?

Thanks for the add. Just found the YT channel and have been watching some videos. They have been a great resource and picked up a few tricks. This part is the trunk lid and you can see stripes on camera but not with the naked eye. Whats up with that?
