Fixed Eyes
It's easy to get into our feelings, to be emotional, going by what our situations and circumstances look like. We often see bills, jobs, past failures, breakups, sins, debts, insecurities, and so much in front of our eyes. It's hard to change that picture of constant failure, disappointment, and struggle. However, the Word of God challenges us to look to the things we can't see. We are to seek the face of God and to follow the example of Jesus. This is not easy but God's promise is that our current struggles will ultimately lead to experiencing the glory of God, especially for believers. So, let us make the daily decision to focus on God, instead of our problems and struggles.

Give The Right Way
When we give to others or do good in the world, let us do it not to be seen but to be a genuine blessing to others. We should be looking for the reward from God, not the applause and admiration of people. It's easy, especially in the age of social media, to boast of the good we do and what we have. Let us be sincere in our giving. Whether we give money, our time, talents, skills, or whatever else we have to offer, let us give with a clean heart and pure motives.

Give The Right Way
God's Faithfulness
Without looking to and trusting in God, we are a broken, mediocre people at best. God only is faithful when we need Him and even when we feel like we don't need Him. Let us look to God every day, to sustain, protect, and strengthen us. Our own strength, knowledge, wisdom, and power is going to fail. Let us make a habit of trusting God with our lives, to lead and guide us in the path He desires.
God's Faithfulness
Be Strong and Courageous
If we look out at the world, there is a lot to be fearful of. Gas prices, groceries prices insecurities, faults, flaws, mental health issues, wars, sickness, disease, and the list goes on. In this verse, Joshua was commanded by God multiple times to be courageous and strong to possess the land which God promised the people of Israel. This verse can apply to us also, that we are to be strong and courageous. In order to reach others with the love of Christ and to serve our neighbors in this world. When we are weak and afraid, let us look to God and His Word for strength.

Overcome Evil With Good
We live in a day and time where getting people back is the right thing to do. "They ain't gonna talk to me like that!" "Give them a piece of your mind!" "Be petty right back to them!" And the list goes on. Of course, the wisdom of the Bible offers us a better way. We are NOT to repay evil for evil. Children of God are told to overcome evil with by doing good. We are to wish blessings on all, not a curse. We extend the love and grace of good to everyone, including our enemies. This doesn't mean that we accept mental, verbal, or physical abuse. But it does mean that we are to overcome evil by doing good as much as we can. When we overcome evil with God, we prove that God's love is on the earth.
