Keyword Roundup! 🤠
What's your text and keyword for this Sunday?

John 20:1-18 Keyword: Victory/Victoria
Try this: Do a biblical study of your keyword (find unexpected connections)
In my seminary homiletics class this week, something came up that I found helpful. When selecting a keyword, do a biblical-theological study of that word. See where else in Scripture it appears. There may be some amazing connections that can be made by simply doing a study of the keyword and its usage throughout Scripture.

Series | Miracles: Week 2 Mark 2:1-12 KW: Forgiveness P: God designed us with whole bodies to walk in uninterrupted communion with Him. P: Sin brought physical illness (paralysis) and spiritual death (guilt and separation from God). G: Jesus not only pronounces forgiveness but commits Himself to paying the price for it. The cross is where the true Miracle Worker allows Himself to be "paralyzed" by nails and condemned, so that we might be lifted up and forgiven. R: The healing of this man is a foretaste—an eschatological sign of the Coming Kingdom—where there will be no more curse, no more paralysis, and no further need for forgiveness, because we will live physically renewed in the presence of God.
Sometimes you win... sometimes you learn.
1. Share a win from this past Sunday. What went well? 2. Share a lesson learned. What would you do differently next time? Remember, sometimes you win. Sometimes you learn! And learning actually is a win, too. 🙂

@McKay Caston 13 Week series on the "Miracles of Jesus" a 13-week journey through the miracles of Jesus, not as isolated stories of supernatural power, but as personal invitations to trust the One who changes everything. In each miracle, Jesus reveals something deeper than a display of strength—He exposes our unmet needs, breaks our false hopes, restores what is broken, and calls us into life with Him. These moments show us that Jesus still transforms emptiness into abundance, still speaks peace over our storms, still opens blinded eyes, and still brings resurrection where there is death. Every miracle whispers the same question that defines our church’s theme this year: “Wonder what God can do?” These are not ancient relics but living signs that the Miracle Worker is still at work today—in our doubts, in our fears, in our disappointments, and in our deepest longings. Through this series, we will learn not just what Jesus did, but what Jesus still does.
