Getting to Val dʼIsère
Hey guys, what's the best way to get to Val dʼIsère from the UK ? Last year we drove, which was ok, but the drive out on a Saturday morning was awful and I wondered what others did? Best Marc

I tend to drive out on the Friday (early boat around 07:00) and stay near Macon, Leisurely breakfast and arrive in resort around 13:00. Plenty of time to sort out lift passes and ski hire (if needed).

I leave on an early boat from Dover (around 07:00) on Friday. Stop around Macon at a Logis or similar small hotel, leave after breakfast Saturday morning and beat the rush! Arrive in resort around 13:00.

Started skiing in 1987, and have skied at least once a year since. Have survived most things but should really get around to improving my technique!
