How can we help strike the spark of momentum?
@Jason Weiland - I didn't want to ask this in LI. So I cam here to see how I (we) can help spark the momentum. I have days like that and havinv someone to think and brainstorm with helps me pick up momentum.

Hey everyone, Big things happening this weekend and I wanted to make sure you're all in the loop. The Medium Course Is Almost Ready I'm locking myself in the house this weekend to finish the content for the Medium course I've been working on. Here's what it's going to look like: - Weekly brainstorming and coaching sessions. Very loose format. 3 or 4 hours, however long it takes to make sure everyone gets their questions answered. This isn't going to be me talking at you for an hour. It's going to be real conversations about what's working, what's not, and how to fix it. - The course itself will cover everything. I'm not assuming you need help signing up for Medium. I'm assuming you know some of the platform but need help with the details. The stuff that actually makes the difference between writing into the void and making a few thousand dollars a month. - We'll talk about settings, strategies, content that works, content that doesn't. Why you don't need a niche. How to think about publications. All of it. I'm using Skool as the platform. Same setup as this group. Threads on the home page where you can ask questions anytime. Simple. Straightforward. No fancy bells and whistles you don't need. I've taken a million of these courses over the years. I know what I hate about them and what I love. So I'm building this the way I wish other courses were built. What Should I Call It? I was going to call it: "The Medium Secrets That 'THEY' Are Afraid to Tell You" But honestly, there are no secrets. We're just going to talk about the details. The things that matter. The stuff that actually moves the needle. So maybe that's not the right name. What do you think? Drop suggestions in the comments. Coffee Hour This Sunday - 9 AM Mountain Time I'll be giving more details about the course on Sunday at 9 AM Mountain Time during our weekly coffee hour. One hour of conversation. Questions. Updates. Whatever's on your mind. If you want to know more about the Medium course before it launches, this is where you'll hear it first.

I am looking forward to virtual coffee tomorrow morning. Mastering Medium; earning money on MEDIUM. I prefer an annual cost. That said will it be weekly meetings? Monthly? I like the lessons "How to earn Money on MEDIUM" I like the brainstorming. So many times I feel like I am in the void talking to myself. The lifetime idea is interesting, The only lifetime thing I signed up doe was a gym membership. It was buy the first and second year get the rest for free. The idea is you can get a burst of cash, annual cash, and monthly cash depending on how people can pay. Possible (might be too low) $20/MO, $200/ANN, and $400 Lifetime. The lifetime at that cost would be difficult for me. That said this SKOOL site has helped gain a rhythm of writing. It could be that $400 lifetime is not that much if in the next year I can be earning $500 - $1000 monthly on Medium, gaining clients on Linkedin from my MEDIUM content, and branching into Substack.

Was someone trying to poach your pond?
I completed another MEDIUM article today.
I know this may seem like nothing to some people. To me every article is a step towards where @Jason Weiland has accomplished.

DONE! I avoided using too much emotional content to reduce the likelihood of someone being Spiked or Triggered. I did enjoy reading. Loved going back and doing this. I think I will do this for all of my stories. Maybe I need to write some emotion into the story - thinking out loud. The tip about the images is awesome! I did not know that.

@Jason Weiland After you posted this I used AI to tell me about MEDIUM Images rules and will be using it for more information.
a "steady job" was always a bullshit idea anyway
Let's step back, discard all the nonsense we were taught from childhood, and just consider the proposition. "You need a steady job so you can have financial security." What's a job, anyway? It's a contract, with a counterparty that is a PROFIT-MAXIMIZING institution. In most places, they can cancel that contract at any time, for any reason or none at all. Let's be serious: what the HELL kind of "security" is that? And you'e trained to feel LUCKY to have one! Hahahaha! Now that I'm 50, I really regret having been employed as much as I've been throughout life. It's destroyed my self-respect, and it's long past time to win it back.

For decades I see people as batteries these PROFIT-MAXIMIZING counterparties use till the battery is dead and then throw it in the ocean or bury it. Some people make this work. On others it was never going to work. I see you.
Something new is coming!
Hi group! I want to start by saying that I will always keep the main group free. I didn't start this to make money off people looking for work with subscriptions. I just want this to be a place where we can all come and talk about freelancing, the job market, and job hunting. But, I have a group of 500 eager professionals, and I can't help but think that at least a few of you would like a more focused and inclusive group. I also see that many of you are interested in Medium, and I can't help but think I could have another stream of income if I monetized my Medium knowledge. Don't get me wrong, there will be a course coming for free for ALL OF YOU about Medium, but what I am thinking, is a more focused brain-trust, where we have weekly training and advice calls, more in-depth information about Medium, and a more focused environment. I would charge a monthly subscription, something anyone can afford, but the main group would always be here to ask basic questions, and talk about everything not related to Medium. Its tough to make a living and if I could even make another few hundred bucks a month, it would be worth it to me to teach all I know about Medium. So what do you think? If you are interested, please let me know> Also, if you ARE interested, help me decide what would be a good monthly subscription? Remember, this is going to be a very activity-heavy group, with a lot of information and focused on Medium. $4.99, $9.99, $12.99, $19.99?????? What would be worth it to potentially make a few extra thousand a month on Medium. I did, November and December I make between $2500 and $4500. It CAN happen. See the screenshot! What do you guys think? Something you would like?

I like this idea. When would you be thinking to have the group sessions? I like this idea. Would you take Venmo?
