If you could…
Skate anywhere in the world, skate park or not, where would it be?

Kaos Temple. A 100 year old abandoned church in Llanera, Asturias (Spain) transformed into a Skate Park. I think it’s temporary closed, but if it’s open again, and I get good enough to skate vert, this place would be number one on my list.
Weekend skating indoor
What have you all been up to this weekend, I had to train in my garage, to cold outside, finished the structure for the mini ramp between sessions on my skate 🛹

How is it going? If I had the space I would love to build my own mini ramp.

Thanks for the new photos and the Update. So inspiring. Wish you all luck. I live in a flat so unfortunately no space right now for a ramp, but if I had more space I would try to build my own too. Hope you give us a new update when it’s ready.
What is everyone’s favourite skate shoe?
I’m looking to get some and I have of course read Theo’s guide which is great but just interested to see what everyone else likes? 🛹 👟

I use Cariuma Catiba Pro 2.0 and Vans OTW Half Cab. I got my Cariuma before I knew about the controversy. I’m not so updated, and can be misinformed, and now it’s look like they are on the way to disappearing. But I have to admit that my Cariuma shoes are actually very comfortable. I do like them, but will probably stay with Vans in the future. I believe in supporting the skateboard scene (which the critics say Cariuma don’t do, and they have no background in skateboarding, but you could say that about a lot of shoe brands). It’s a lot of question marks around Cariuma, and this is probably the main reason I will not buy them again + I’m also happy with my Vans.
How to deal with kickbikes in skate parks?
Most of the time I skate in a skate park where only skateboards are allowed, and since it’s one of the biggest skate park in the country I’m happy to be just here. But it’s also nice to try new places. One of my biggest problem are that these places is often used by kids with kick bikes. I get stressed to be around them, and my way to deal with it is to visit these parks early in the morning when the kids are in school. So I have the skate park for myself. But this is of course limiting my skateboarding, and as a result I often avoid this other parks. I’m now processing how to overcome my “fear” of kickbikes. Does anyone here feel the same, and do you have any suggestions how to overcome this problem?
Why did you start skating?
What was the reason you got into skating as an adult? I love a good poll!😂

I could honestly vote for all four alternatives here. In “Something else” I could for example say that I always identified myself as a skater, even the years when I didn’t skate. I could be inside a parking house and look at the floor thinking “wow, it would be great to skate here”. It’s weird, but the feeling never goes away, when you know how it feels to skate.

@Ian Powell I started to skate for a month ago. I skated (most vert) when I was younger (I’m 57 now) in the late 70s and early 80s, then stopped when there was nowhere to skate. Really missed it. Then waited 40 years til I stood on a skateboard again, but didn’t really skate much. But this year I’m serious and have the confidence to go to the skate park, and step by step getting back to where I want to be. I’m not good, but enjoying every minute and luckily getting little bit better every time. So I started skate 1978, but officially I tell everyone I started to skate in April 2026. Feels more honest to say that.

I was skateboarding in the late 70’s and early 80’s, and after a over 40 years without skateboarding I decided to start again.
