It could just be a novice Mage's fire that's gone out of control but a truly large fire would be a coordinated effort. It is a known tactic in warfare to start large fires in order to create diversions or to simply to destroy resources.
This door has just appeared overnight on the outskirts of a quiet settlement. No one knows who built it. No one knows where it leads. In your world… what’s behind the door?
The Labarynth is a huge circular underground structure that the Fasfinacht call home. It is patrolled by many faceless ghouls and strange creatures. The Labarynth has several entrance ways in the abandoned lands to the west and Fasfinacht attacks are most common around thes doors. So if a door were to appear near to a town that's very bad news for the town.
@James Bruski In a way yes but not in the sense of knowledge or memory though it would be more a sense of mortality inherited from the victim. Some mannerisms and quirks may also be inherited as well as the ability to cast magic which all sentient creatures have to some ability most common being low grade telepathy.
@Ceaseless Watcher so if dragons choose their humanoid form do they also choose their dragon form too? And can they mimic or is not possible to consciously choose a form?
I was curious what artistic medium people here were conveying their worlds in? I personally I've been creating worlds and stories in my head since I can remember but I've never really found a way to get them out of my head. At the moment I'm giving writing a go and working on Helm Knights (I may change the name later). How is everyone else sharing their worlds or are other people also struggling to find a medium that works for them?
Cars, planes, airships, carts? Do people crowd ports, or are they stuck walking? If there is technology in the transportation, what type? I just wanted to see what you'd come up with.
In human culture horses are the most common mounts. Mermaids tend to use amphibian mounts or if they spend more time on land they may be seen riding skeihs which are smaller bipedal creatures more nimble and appropriately sized for navigating city streets. And much preferable to a wheelchair or walking sticks for getting about on land.
