Years worth of (PS) Phyre Saw materials
Photo by Andres Morantes-Villalobos. So, I would drive past a farm store that sells not only plants and trees for landscaping but desserts and produce as well on my way to see my patient every 3 weeks on a Saturday. I noticed over the summer they had rows of Mammoth Sunflowers and knew they would be selling the seed heads later in the fall when they were mature and dying. After they collected the heads, You can see that they left the giant stalks still there until one of the workers would come back later and mow them all down. I stopped in an asked if they wanted the dead standing stalks. I told them they would be used for "projects". After they ask what kind of "projects", that is when I explain that I "make fire by rubbing sticks together like boy scouts do and do every method from around the world and that the sunflower stalks are good for this one method from southeast asia...""" You have to be concise and break it down quickly and simply as an explanation I learned through the years... Also, I offered them $ for them but I think they were thankful one of them did not have to cut them all down... I also bought a lot of their desserts for my family to support their business as a thank you. The owners know that the sunflowers are annuals (not growing back next year - one and done), so they agreed. I got out my Japanese saw and started working. I now have enough stalks for YEARS worth of (PS) Phyre Saws! FYI - it may not look it inside my Jeep, but those stalks are all about 5 feet long...)! GAMBARIMASHO YO! Let’s Keep Going!
