Safety first, always. Until that recall is reliable, keep your dog on a long line and set them up for success. 🐾 HOLD YOUR DISTANCE THRESHOLDS! Don't rush to add distance. Build reliability at each stage before making things harder. 🐾 ENGAGEMENT IS EVERYTHING! Keep your value high! Sometimes that means running backwards, getting excited, making ridiculous noises and looking like an absolute idiot in public. 😂 Who cares?! We want our dogs thinking we're the BEST thing in their world! 🐾 ALWAYS REWARD THE RECALL FIRST! Your dog has made the decision to come back to you. Celebrate that BEFORE asking them to sit, heel or do anything else. Remember, recall isn't just about teaching a command. Hello! Can anyone recommend a good harness/leash for car travel. Just recently we've noticed our dog barking and trying to lunge (reactiveness) in the car at absolutely anything that moves - aside from other cars. Its usually on the way to/from something exciting so I'm sure he's 'working' or over threshold due to excitement but its becoming unbearable 😟

Started our week 6 challenge recall today & very happy with how Maizie went. On a beautiful day with no distractions she smashes it ( because she loves food). So we'll continue to practice practice practice because this is a command I really really want to instill in Maizie & slowly add distractions along the way to eventually. I may get another video done end of week to possibly, to see her progress hopefully. 💜😊 @Loma Simmons
