Grammatical Battleships (Pronouns)
Lately I have had great success with a modified version of Battleships! A lot of my students struggle with English pronouns (which is fair, in Spanish the pronoun is usually implied through the verb), but this game sure has helped a lot with their productions. I had the student sit with a Conjugation Sheet for help throughout the game, and slowly I noticed them making fewer and fewer mistakes! I have attached my documents for the game - modify them as you need depending on the lesson focus😄

St Patrick's Day Resources ESL
Hi! Here are some helpful resources for a Saint Patrick's themed week. Enjoy!🍀 💚Would You Rather: Students stand for this activity and walk to the side of the class they "would rather" be in. This is great for a warmer activity. It takes 3 - 5 minutes. 💚Charades: You can print the Charades out four times. Divide the class into 4 groups. 💚Place a pack of charades (you cut them out beforehand, of course) in the centre of each group. 💚St Patrick's Day crown craft for younger students.

Good to be here!
Hello everyone! My name is Joachim, a Dane who has been working for the past two years in Spain as an English & private-Danish teacher😊. I am deeply fascinated by language acquisition, especially at the earlier ages - I studied linguistics back in Denmark with a focus on this area. My main objective is to "make English fun", since I believe there needs to be an intrincic "need / reason" for learning a target language. If not, I am afraid the students simply study to pass exams, and not to learn the language(s) It's for this reason I base a lot of my classes on games - For quite a few of my students English is just another subject to get over with in school. It's my hope that through games they find their own personal joy with the language, and HOPEFULLY use it more outside the classroom haha Nice to meet you all!!!
