How Many Communities Are You In?
Being considered a Skool "Power User", I'm in a lot of communities.. But I don't see that as a bad thing. One of the signs that someone is going to stick around on the platform is when they get plugged in and are a part of several communities! There are a mix of people in here.. some OGs, some who have been around a bit, & some brand new. I want to know how many communities you're in and what makes you join and stay in a community? Be as specific as you want to be :) This will be helpful for those who are wanting and working on creating a community worth joining and investing time to really become a member. 🫶

What Is Skool? Q&A Thread | December 2025
While I'm still working on cleaning up the community, I wanted to make space for those who have Skool related questions. Feel free to drop any questions you have about Skool, Community Building, Monetizing A Community, etc. If you see a question that you want to give your thoughts on or you know the answer feel free to chime in! :) This will be the thread for December 2025. I will be going through these and giving an answer to them as I'm able to.. currently still sick with some sort of awful respiratory thing that was going around in my area. Which is the reason for the delay in finishing clean up of the community and why I've not responded to everyone. Some have asked why the clean up is necessary prior to going public. Simple answer: There are people who may have said things and shared more freely knowing this space was private. As I was just cleaning up a few things, I noticed a few of those posts and comments. To me, if I was trusted with such information, then I want to honor and respect that trust. And so it doesn't feel singled out, I'm removing most of the posts that were in here and leaving it to be more of a resource. There were over 1k posts, because you guys are AWESOME! Now we are about 1/2 there, and working on that in between resting for recovery. That's why I wanted to make this Q&A option available and I will be making responses as I can and when it's all cleaned up I'll be posting a video about public communities, the reason why, when to do it, how to switch an existing community over, and other little helpful info. Side note: Something I do to help track things like a Q&A thread is that I will like a comment that has either been answered or I've acknowledged. It's a fast way to get through and make sure nothing got unseen or unanswered. Also, I know we are headed into the holiday season with Christmas and New Years. I hope all of you are giving yourself a bit of grace to enjoy the now even with all the exciting plans you have for 2026! 🫶

What's best for Skool Discovery Ranking SEO/Algo? Lots of posts with not too many comments? Or fewer posts with lots of comments? Context: I run a free mini course that give an assignment at the end. Currently, I have everyone make a new post, but wondering if it would be better to just have one post I make... and just have them comment on there so it builds to hundreds of comments. Thanks!
Skool Notifications Got An Update!
One of the great things about Skool is that Sam Ovens listens when people ask questions or make feature requests inside the Skoolers community. Some questions that came up were: How do I get notified when someone posts in my community? How do I get a notification when a new member requests to join? These were common questions because most owners want to respond quickly and keep engagement moving. Until now there was no way to turn those alerts on. Skool listened and built the solution. You now have them in your notification controls. They are turned off by default. If you want alerts, you can turn them on manually. Here is how to update your notification settings: Click on your profile photo. - Desktop will show you the user menu drop down - Mobile you will have to click the 3 dots in the top right to get to the user menu drop down On the user menu drop down, click Settings. Then click on Notifications. - Desktop it will have tabs on the side and you see "Notifications" there - Mobile you will need to slide it to see "Notifications" Then expand the notification settings for the community you want to change. Click either On or Off for what you want to be notified on. You can turn on notifications for: • Admin announcements • Event reminder email • New customer email • Membership requests • Reported content • New Post This puts you in control of what you stay updated on. Faster approvals. Better responsiveness. A smoother community experience for everyone. Which notification are you turning on first now that the option is finally here?

Turning on that "New Posts" asap. Tired of seeing spam posts 13hrs later 🫠😩
How Many Users Do You Think Are On The Platform?
Part of the magic of creating on Skool is that you can get some members from Discovery! They talked about it on the Skool News that became lesson 6 for Skool 101. And if you're not getting members yet, then it's important you optimize these things: - Your Group Cover Photo. (People are very visual buyers) - Catchy Group Description. (Should make them go hmm I want this and need to know more.) Then your About Page comes into play. Skool is GROWING and not just the amount of community owners, but also in how many users. Which means more on Discovery.. and you know what that means.. more chances for your community to be seen! I thought it'd be fun for everyone to guess how many users are on the platform right now, so vote below and then you can use this comment from Sam as the answer key. If you feel like sharing what you're doing below to optimize for more views, then drop it below! It might help someone else change their game. 🫶

@Chuck Ellis 1) We offer a done for you service aka not everyone makes it to skool. Imagine your plumber making you sign up for skool first to pay them for fixing a broken pipe 🤣 2) We offer different "fast action" discounts as part of our sales process. Skool doesnt have coupon ability. 3) Invoicing is a big part of our payment process, skool doesnt do that. TLDR: Simple. Doesn't fit our business model. Skool is great for most business models though.
