@Audrey Fairy Undercover work is similar. HIgh risk, need to build rapport & trust. Sales is also the same. The niche of SW you're describing is high touch sales. As is professional Magic. CIA case officers also need to be good at aftercare. They run agents and need to protect their mental health. Can't have "John" having a break down during a deal and telling everybody "I can't do this anymore. My name is Tom.". This is where pimps and other source recruiters come into the picture. If you deal with people, you deal with people. Historical: 'Suzy Thunder' was an old school hacker very skilled at Social Engineering.

Found this is in a tech titans group I'm part of -- and much of it is good, but then -- Is Warren Buffet an insane con-artist? "Wow, this is so good!" Privately: "this fucking sucks we need to change everything" I don't think Dale Carnegie is a con artist in this way-- I think there's a power in names, and recognizing that and using that actually only leaves for positivity -- what you do after the name remembrance.. well.. that's the ethical and butterfly effect dilemma.

A variation of Buffet's advice is common for Command. There's a ST:TNG clip[1] of Data calling Worf into the ready room to chastise him for openly challenging his orders. Names have their power, but be sure it's a True Name before putting trust in it's power. ------------- [1] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdiQhMPt1Zo

I has seen "Midnight Express'(1978). #LPT Sweat less, It makes the tape slip And the dogs can smell your fear. Or your pee. Or the hashish. Regardless, one or the other,

This entire Mimesperiment gives of "Sound of Noise" vibes. Which is one of my all-time favorite movies. Summary: Terrorist acts in the form of six percussionists flash mobbing musical performances - "STOMP" adjacent - and there's a romance between a tone-deaf cop and a percussionist. Good times. The OR was a bit risky. Lil different from Novacaine(2025) - rom-com where the protagonist is congenitally painless. Except for his heart.

@Anthony Fozbearns Heists are good times. One thing though, It's like that thing they say about poker: if you look around the table and can't tell who the mark is, it's probably you.

Lighter than a Bus, has a CPU, and likely targeted? Probably my problem. :) "What could go wrong?" I'm paid to answer and sometimes prove. he/him
