Gypsy pickups
Hee i'm scanning the options for gypsy-jazz pickups. What do you guys recommend? Contact microphones or normal pickups? And what are price-wise good options? The options are also very limited on marketplace... Help me out!

There are several options, I'd recommend trying them somewhere if you can, they all sound a bit different. I have a couple that are pretty decent, an old miller (I could maybe sell this for cheap, as it may need a repair too), and I have a bennedetti, which is what Angelo Debarre uses.

If you do the KRIVO way, I recommend the newer version, not the older wooden looking model..
Search for gypsy jazz players
Are there gipsy jazz play players in Holland. Specially in Brabant?

Hey Arie, if you look in the map section you can see where people are located!
Back from tour!😎
Just got back from a 3.5-week tour across the U.S. with Tim Kliphuis and it was quite the run. One of the final concerts brought us to Baltimore—in my opinion one of the most underrated cities in the country. The people are authentic, hospitable, and genuinely care about each other. A pretty great way to wrap up the tour. Big thanks to Michael Joseph Harris for bringing us out. While touring I wasn’t able to post as many lessons as I’d like, but now that I’m back I’ll be adding more content here soon—some new material on rhythm, phrasing, and a few tunes we were playing on the road. In the meantime, keep working on the lessons already here, and feel free to post videos of your progress. I love seeing what everyone is working on. Next up we’ll be in Atlanta (GA), Athens (GA), and Carrboro (NC) from March 18–22. I’d love to see some of you there! I’ll also be doing workshops in Carrboro on March 21. I’m also thinking of doing a free lesson on the tune “Swing Gitane.” Let me know in the poll below if that’s a tune you’d like to learn!

New Video out!
Hello, I know some of you have been discussing this tune in the group! 🎫 Tour dates: https://jimmygrant.net This is a modern gypsy jazz tune written by Ninine Garcia, a musician that Eva Slongo toured and recorded with during her years in Paris. The tune has since become a favorite in the scene, especially after players like Robin Nolan and Adrien Moignardbrought it into their repertoire. We’ve just released our version as a new single — now available on all streaming platforms! @Bob Kelley it's 3/4!

@Rick Spence Ah, apparently Ninine finished the song and arranged it from Paquito Lorier.
