Before you ask AI to make you money, read this 👇
I keep seeing people asking about the best ways to trade, dropship or start a business using AI, and I think there’s something that deserves more attention: You still need to understand the thing you’re asking AI to help you do. AI can speed up the process massively. It can help you research, learn, build and automate. But you need enough understanding to recognise mistakes, question its suggestions and judge whether what you’re doing actually works. If you want to trade, learn the fundamentals and understand the risks. If you want to dropship, learn about your customers, products, suppliers and margins. Those things still matter when AI is involved. Automating a system doesn’t automatically make it a good system. Sometimes it just means repeating the same mistakes faster. And if you’re at the beginning of your AI journey, my biggest advice is to choose something you’re actually interested in and curious about. Give yourself a reason to keep learning beyond the promise of making money. That curiosity is what helps you ask better questions, experiment and keep going when something doesn’t work the first time. You don’t need to become an expert before opening ChatGPT or Claude. You can use AI to learn from day one. Just make sure you’re developing your own understanding along the way. Expecting a prompt to produce a profitable business that runs itself skips over the work of finding out whether the idea is any good. Learn the fundamentals. Test your ideas. Use AI to help you improve and automate what works. What’s something you’re using AI to learn or build that you actually enjoy?

Yep, generic answers from AI without it knowing you does not seem like the way. I run business ideas against it but I have a built out knowledge base about myself. My time, my skills, and my goals. So when I have an idea I run it through a roast process to see if it actually scales and gets me where I want to go.
newbie fatigue, encouragement?
i've poured a month and about 100-150 hours learning claude code from basically scratch (used ai lightly for 2 years) many different projects, some work, some huge failures and wasted time/usage most important project: automating research/writing into a spreadsheet i historically do manually i can't get it it to write how i want, and i cant trust its research, it feels like 1 step forward 1 step back a lot of the time i dont know why it gets it right sometimes and i dont know why it gets it wrong sometimes is this normal?

@Matthew Smith Good stuff. I have seen some setups that keep a Mac mini running with the knowledge base, then you can access it and work on it from phone or tablet

@Eric Sharabany No doubt. This is one of the reasons I build like I build. Everything is built in folders and files on my computer that I control. They are AI agnostic and I can point any model at them. Even skills for Claude and GPT are just markdown files that can be used by any AI. The harnesses and models will always be changing. The underlying problems and logic for solutions remains mostly the same. JEV could find it's way in a spot where a classifier is needed so it is good to stay up on what is out there, but I don't have to jump to work it into a system that is already working.
Claude Opus 5.5 Is Here And It's Insane!
The new Claude model is live! Honestly, very impressed. It's probably the best AI model in the market right now. Tested it for 8 hours, then filmed a video (you can watch below). I also attached a "Project Audit" prompt you can run in your Claude Code to use Opus to audit past projects and make your sessions more efficient.

@Eric Sharabany It sounds like you are doing the right thing in staying portable between models. For me I made my agents.md as the main AI router and Claude.md just points at that.

@Eric Sharabany it is like a README file but for the different AI harnesses. Agents.md is a semi industry standard for those agent instructions they read each time
🚀 Claude + Instagram = $15,000/month
My Instagram is at 101,000 followers and does over $15,000 a month, off a contact list of almost 80,000 built with Claude and ManyChat. In this video, I map the whole system: the folders and skills behind my ideation engine, the tools I scrape and schedule with, the funnel that turns a comment into a contact, and where the $15,000 actually comes from.

I have been hearing that Instagram is having another 'Golden age' period.

Excited by the power of these LLMs and the speed that the harnesses are progressing. The honeymoon is over tho. Even with a maintained knowledge base I swear the top models still go stupid and need me to remind them. They are still great to work with, the rose colored glasses have come off tho.

13 years shipping production software. I build with AI weekly for real clients, and I care most about the questions the AI never volunteers.
