Introducing myself
Hello. I’m Jim Stewart from Oklahoma City, US. I started a nonprofit with a free anti-bullying and character building curriculum called Heroes in Waiting. It is housed in our website and recently with the help of @Jason Scott found Skool. @Danni Armstrong was our first to join. We’ve been friend ever since. I have lost a son to suicide and now have many friends who I call friends and are a member of a club I’d rather not be a member of. Most enjoyable place I’ve been to are the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, US. The most memorable places I’ve been are several different countries in Africa. So glad to be here and looking forward to learning from and sharing with other like-hearted friends.

@Arthur Maddocks-Brown thanks so much for your story. How old were you when you went through your dark days (if I may ask) and what or who helped you out of the darkness. It’s amazing that every person on this planet has a story and we all think, at one time or another, that we are all alone. BTW: I was able to experience the Indian Ocean in Kenya and the Nile River in western Uganda. That was a beautiful experience. We were helping local people learn how to drill their own water wells. I appreciate you.

Hi, I'm Jason Scott. I’m based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I joined because I believe kids deserve to feel safe in their own skin — at school, online, and at home. I’m here to learn, contribute, and help strengthen a community that takes children’s mental wellness and anti-bullying seriously. Lesson learned: Show up early — and keep showing up. Most “change” isn’t one big heroic moment. It’s consistent, quiet decisions: listening longer, speaking up sooner, and choosing compassion when it would be easier to stay silent. My favorite place in the world: Anywhere I’m with my family and we’re not in a rush. If I have to pick a “place,” it’s a peaceful coffee shop where i go every Friday to see my closest friends. I’ve seen bullying do real damage — the kind that doesn’t always show up on the outside. I’ve also seen how one caring adult or one brave friend can interrupt that story and change the trajectory. That’s a big reason I’m here: to be part of the interruption. I’ll attach one of my wife Laura and our kids — we’ve been married 20+ years and they’re my daily reminder of what we’re protecting. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Okay. I’m going to try to learn this process along with you @Arthur Maddocks-Brown I live in Oklahoma City, US and @Jason Scott and I are great friends.
