🐓❤️🐓Our Chicken Journey🐓❤️🐓 My chicken journey began back in 2013, when my daughter was just six months old. I brought home my very first backyard flock — four Rhode Island Reds named Goldie, Sweet Pea, Bella, and Zena. The joy they brought us was an absolute blessing. My daughter’s belly laughs while watching the chickens eat are memories I’ll cherish forever. Our little farmyard crew quickly became a family affair. My Australian Shepherd, Layla (the best breed in the world!), would round up the chickens whenever they wandered off into the bushes. Even our guinea pig, Cowboy, got in on the fun, “herding” the chickens in his own way — it was quite a sight to see chickens running from a guinea pig! 🤭😂 As the years passed, my flock slowly dwindled until only Goldie remained. Not wanting her to be lonely, I gave her to a friend of a friend, and last I heard, she was doing wonderfully. Fast forward to 2025 — my daughter and I started a garden, and something just felt… missing. The answer was clear: CHICKENS! I started with three, but it quickly became apparent that we would be sharing eggs with friends and coworkers. Naturally, that meant we needed more chickens — and now we have eight happy hens keeping us busy and well-supplied with fresh eggs. Our chickens aren’t just egg-layers; they’re a part of our life, our memories, and our joy. 2 Corinthians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver". https://www.tiktok.com/@skyline_rt4?_r=1&_t=ZP-959ddzhv7te https://www.facebook.com/share/1Gpuspinfj/?mibextid=wwXIfr https://youtube.com/@padmeschickens?si=h86PnMSrbUFhTiLh
