Take a wild guess what I was paid
These turned out amazing minus some micro cracking. What do you think I was paid? I'll give you a hint. They were done at a mechanic shop and the shop paid me 100% of what they charged the customer. Ok I will just tell you since it was the most I have ever been paid. $499.00. That is what they charge for restorations. Keep in mind that they are Range Rover Specialist shop. They told me replacements for the newer models are $7000.00!

Where Do You Stand With Headlight Restoration?
I want to ask you something important. For me, headlight restoration is not a side hustle. It’s not “extra cash.”It’s not something I do cheap just to get jobs. Headlight restoration is a business. I operate as professionally as possible. I charge premium rates. I position myself as an expert. My customers see me as the authority — and because of that, I’m able to maximize what I earn from every service. That didn’t happen by accident. It’s intentional. Now I’m curious… What is headlight restoration to YOU? - A side hustle? - A stepping stone to something bigger? - A full-time business? - Just testing the waters? - A way to make quick cash? - A future brand? There’s no wrong answer here. I genuinely want to know where everyone stands. Drop a comment and be honest. Your mindset around this will determine how far you go with it. Let’s talk 👇

Currently a side hustle. Building up to full time when I retire in 7 years.
Let’s see your website
I’d love to see how everyone has set up a website

@Mike G I appreciate the feed back. I built this on the fly and need to go back and adjust. I work a full time job and just haven’t gotten to it. Will definitely take some of this advice and make adjustments.

@Christopher Stevens I appreciate the feed back! Will be correcting some issues this week
Restore or replace?
Jason had a good post earlier. I know that not everyone may be capable of doing this, but have you ever quoted someone to replace the entire light assemblies over trying to restore? Mainly due to cost?

Never again lol
The only reason I did these is because it’s for my father-in-law it was a good reminder why I stick to the cars that I do
Never again lol

@Jason LaRosa ya, I would have probably quoted just replacing them.

Started this with doing my own lights. See a benefit for others and hopefully a nice side cash business
