Introduction
Hi everyone, My name is Kennetta. I currently work as a Customer Service Representative and also support digital access for member accounts. Through helping users with account access, password resets, MFA, and other access-related issues, I developed a strong interest in Identity and Access Management (IAM). I’m excited to learn more about IAM, build my skills, and connect with others who share the same interests. Looking forward to learning and growing with this community!

Welcome to the group Great to see that you already have experience and knowledge within the field of IAM. Having hands-on experience and the ability to speak on it will do wonders.

@Yung Hat Agreed the lab are invaluable, they are difficult to find unless behind some sort of paywall

@Darnell Morris That's pretty cool that you already got some experience with Cisco. You'll have no problem transitioning into IAM. I can sense your level of enthusiasm, it's infectious

Hello everyone, I've been working as an IT Help Desk and Data Entry for about 3 years now. I'm very excited to enter in this IAM world!

Welcome @Josue Rivero That's pretty cool that you already have experience in IT. I bet that even in Help Desk, you had experience in IAM (in terms of password reset). Pivoting into IAM just makes sense. Good luck, I am also excited to enter the world of IAM
You can do this. Here is proof. 💪
One thing that separates IAM candidates who get offers from those who do not: Most people know the concepts. JML, RBAC, SAML, OIDC, they can explain all of it. The ones who get further open a screen share and show it or explain in authoritative tone if you already have few years of IAM experience or exposure to IAM processes. You have everything you need to get ahead in IAM. Right now. In the free Classrooms tab. ✅️IAM concepts help you build the foundation and fundamentals with real world analogies. ✅️The IGA lab walks you through building a full IAM end to end. ✅️The CIAM lab has you build customer IAM use cases. All free. Members in this community have done it, some with little IAM know-how. They built it. You can too. Start with the free lab today🥇 👉If you want structured sessions, expert guidance, and to go deeper across five weekends - Cohort 2 starts soon. Details at simplifyiam.com/iamlivecohort

Thanks for creating and sharing such valuable knowledge It can be easily to be confused when there's so many different various acronym and it can be overwhelming like an alphabet soup. Breaking down these concepts into easily to read and to understand goes along way. This saves time and headache, instead of re-reading and failing to comprehend the different concepts.

Great learning experience so far

Not only you've completed your very first lab, but you have shown proof of work. By continuing to complete labs and showing proof, you are collecting evidence to compile into a portfolio. A well organized portfolio with step by step instructions and images will improve your chances at an interview. Good work
