I had a long to-do list yesterday and a tight schedule. At a point I was running behind on time and I had two appointments clashing. I was rushing to the first one when I realized that I don’t have to get everything done today. I just need to prioritize the most important ones. I’m only one person and can’t be everywhere and everything all at once. So I turned around headed back to my office and just called and made other arrangements with some of my appointments. I felt relieved, I felt like I had a handle on the day though I didn’t get everything done.

My morning routine has been a non negotiable and I’m very proud of that. I wake up I wash my hands and face with cold water, I do my warrior wake-up routine with affirmations then move into my morning workout. It’s literally been the foundation of my days. 🙏🏿🙌🏿

I’ve been saying “No” more than usual, and I’m saying yes to the things that matter to me most. This is making some people in my life uncomfortable, but I’ve also found that it’s bringing me more peace.
The path is clearer than ever
Hello everyone, I want to share a quick personal story, and that becoming who you can and want to be doesn’t have to be a puzzle. This year, for the first time, I see a clear way out of my bad habit of scrolling endlessly. By the way, thank you, Devin. I often stopped scrolling after seeing one of your reels! For the last 8 years, video games and social media were the perfect escape. They gave me a break from the constant inner voice expecting inhumane perfection from me. And since losing time on video games was far from perfection, the voice got louder and grew my need for an escape, creating a vicious circle. But at that point, I had no understanding of the mechanisms inside me. I just blamed myself more for not being able to follow through on the promises I made to myself daily. For the last 8 years now, I’ve been trying new methods, creating plans, and setting weekly goals to stop falling back on easy dopamine. And I was still never managing to succeed for more than a few days. This built inside me a strong inner belief of being someone who doesn’t respect the promises he makes to himself + who has no discipline. Ouch… not easy, because now it felt like there were so many layers maintaining this reality. But this year, I understood that it really doesn’t have to be a puzzle. Nor an excruciating run of discipline and sheer will. Because I understood that you act according to the person you subconsciously believe you are. The identity you wear. It tints every decision, every word chosen, every thought you have. And so… shifting this identity is all that matters. Switch to an identity of someone who has all those things and more, and everything will fall into place. So before, I needed to attack the problem from every angle: general discipline, working on self-love and calming that inner voice, the inner beliefs that keep me in this cycle, etc. AHHHHHH Now I only need to do one thing: work on shifting my identity to someone who has all those things naturally. Ok, this doesn’t resolve the how, but it feels much more manageable.

@Milo Brunelle the part that stood out to me was where you sought a higher understanding to get the tools you needed to deal with the old problems you were looping through. This is an amazing story, congratulations on your progress! Keep going. 💪🏿
