Pricing related
Was good guys, I had a question. After listening to the last podcast about commercial accounts, you got me wondering if I should have different pricing for commercial and regular accounts, maybe higher than that of residential.. I would really appreciate your input, as I've been brainstorming for a while now

@Chigozie Obuaya it depends on the type of commercial work. Sometimes you move quicker in big spaces but you’re also using more product. The price still comes down to how long it takes you to do the job and how much material you use.

Loxon is a masonry paint. I don’t think that would be the move for hardi Board which is siding. Usually you just need a decent exterior primer and whatever you like from SW. I’m guessing Emerald or Duration. I prefer fresh start primer and MoorGuard low Lustre from Benjamin Moore for siding. Josh is right though. Ask your rep what they recommend from Sherwin Williams for that application. They’ll probably give you a few options.
Need Some Help
I’m doing a proposal today in a high-end mall for a high-end retailer, I’ve been doing residential repaints and some light commercial for the past six years, but have never done a job in the mall, where they have display stands, and all that good stuff all over the place, I guess my question is how should I price this project? Should I go off of production rates square footage? Any thing helps thanks.

@David Dowd I would definitely be charging more for having to work at night. For the corner protection you can find them On Amazon or Home Depot
Estimating.
So. This is a rental property I was asked to bid. Paint the whole interior of the house. Prime and paint stained wainscot and crown in family room and fix and paint the rest of the house. It’s very dirty too. Too many pictures needed to show what a mess.

All I’ll say is, make the estimate worth your time and put some fat margin on it. It would take a lot of chedda to get me excited about that one.
DIY?
Some DIY do not prep correctly. (Some professionals?) Have to love the challenges of knotty pine.
