👋 Hey everyone, welcome to Kelly’s Guitar Lab! I spent a few years traveling and playing guitar for Circa Paleo. I’m excited to kick things off here and start sharing music with you all. 🎸 To get us rolling—what’s your favorite soundtrack or soundtrack song? (Could be a movie, TV series, or even a game.) Drop it in the comments—I can’t wait to see what inspires you most!
I just finished watching Lord of the Rings extended directors cut and realized there is so much good music in there! I’ve taught Concerning Hobbits in the past to violin students, but there’s also a super epic theme, I think it’s called the Rohan theme.
Here’s a special one—my sister and I playing Last of the Mohicans. This piece has always been one of my favorites to perform and it never got old. 🎸🎻 💬 What do you think—should we dive into learning this one together here in the group? https://youtu.be/-g-AynScCkk?si=wCNtwb5kznFZWj0V
One of my favs— Game of Thrones. Jammin’ with my sister Jenny a.k.a. The Hot Violinist in our living room. Such an epic soundtrack to bring to life on strings! ⚔️🔥 👉 Would you like me to break this one down into a step-by-step guitar lesson for the group? https://youtu.be/yzOW5flFG7c?si=tdYwnw73ZaWp6ZQj
Just here to say that having guitar makes it SO MUCH more satisfying to play violin. If there were more guitarists out there wanting to play with violinists I think the violinists would flourish more than having to play on their own.
