Happy Monday from vacation — where my kitchen adventures have been a little quieter than usual this weekend. 😄 I am still recovering from a bicycle accident that slowed me down more than I expected — but if you know me at all, you know that a little rest does not keep me away from my recipes for long. This weekend I have been tucked in rewriting recipes — and one of them has me really excited. Swedish pink cookies. I will go first. 😄 I spent the weekend in the Northeast United States with my extended family — and the kitchen did not get much rest. We started with sourdough French toast and sausage one morning — because when family is around breakfast needs to be worth waking up for. 🍞 One evening we did something really fun — a game meat slider tasting. Four sliders, four completely different meats — venison, elk, bison, and wagyu. Watching everyone’s faces as they worked their way through each one was the best part. That is exactly why I love cooking for people. The favorites were bison and wagyu! The celebration dinner brought homemade ravioli, grilled chicken, flank steak fresh off the grill, and a dessert table full of cookies and cakes that I am still thinking about. 🎉 Different meals. Different moments. One table full of people I love. That is what food does. That is why we are all here. Now your turn — what happened at your table this weekend? 💛 🌻 Chef Jenn

Traveling today but my brain is already planning ahead — I have a graduation dinner on Sunday and the prep starts now. 🎓 That is the secret most people do not think about — a great meal does not happen on the day.
