One month in: a little learning
The Room is officially one month old today 😊 One thing I’ve learned pretty quickly: if I want a community that doesn’t depend on me constantly posting, I have to build for that from the beginning. So this month I’ve been paying more attention to giving members clear ways to use the space, start their own conversations, ask questions and share what’s on their mind without waiting for me. Still very early, but that’s one thing I’m definitely taking into month two.

@Rachel Keyser Actually yes! I just had a member start her own post, which made me really happy 🥰 It’s still very early, but I’m starting to see little signs of it happening. I’m trying not to force it though. Just making it really clear that they’re welcome to start conversations too and giving it time. And I totally get the discouragement. I think coming back and focusing on consistency is a really good place to start.

Help each other find your next 3 members
One of the best ways to grow is to support each other on Skool. So let's do that 👇 ** 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗱𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲...𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝘁𝗰. Drop a comment with: 1. Your Skool community name + link 2. Who it's for (𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲) 3. What members get when they join Then scroll through and join 3 communities that genuinely interest you. Not to game the algorithm. Not for a follow back. Because you're actually curious and want to connect with people building cool things. Let's help each other get those wins 🙌

Anyone else navigating the "Under-20 Club" ?
I’ve spent plenty of time reading and cheering on everyone here, but stepping up to post my own journey feels like a whole new milestone. Right now, my community (Savvy Sistahs Travel and Thrive) is at 14 members—including 5 new faces this month! We focus on helping women navigate career breaks, sabbaticals, new ventures, and finding fulfilling next chapters after toxic work environments. Because it's a deeply personal topic, things in the room are quiet now. It is easy to doubt yourself when the space isn’t buzzing wiith action, but I know this early stage is about laying trust and solid foundations. To anyone who hasn’t launched yet or is sitting under 20 members: you’re not alone in the quiet build phase. If your membership is currently under-20 (or pre-launch) club, drop a comment below with your community topic—let’s connect and cheer each other on! I know the best is yet to come.

Definitely in the under-20 club with you 😅 I opened The Room to Breathe just a few weeks ago, so I really relate to that quiet build phase. Mine is around mental load and helping women carry less of what they’ve been holding for so long. Learning to see the quiet as part of building trust instead of a sign that something is wrong has been a big one for me too!
What I'm learning after one week of having my community
I thought opening a community would be mostly about getting people in. But after the first week, I'm realizing it's much more about creating a space people actually want to return to. I'm learning that : - you don't need to fill the space with content for it to feel alive - a simple question can create more connection than a perfect crafted post - people engage at different rhythms, and that's okay And maybe the most importantly, you have to give the community enough room to become itself. I'm still learning obviously. That's probably my biggest takeaway from week one. What's something your ccommunity taught you in its first few weeks that you didn't expect?

@Iyaraa Iam hey Lyaraa , Week two has been really interesting! I’m noticing more comments, likes, and especially the first little member to member conversations, which has been really encouraging. My biggest realization is that I don’t need to keep creating more to keep the room active...especially when the whole idea behind The Room to Breathe is not to give women one more thing to keep up with. And a fun little win 😊 I spotted The Room to Breathe in a skool fb ad this week! That was pretty exciting to see!
