Insight after a month off...
It's been a month since the last 8 week challenge, one cruise, and a Disneyland trip. Eating habits have gone out the window, I've gained 7 lbs, and my feet are starting to hurt again. So what have I learned, the inflammation diet works!!! And I need to get back on it! It truly has to be a lifestyle change for things to last. You truly look at yourself differently when you're simply doing something. Good luck on your challenge 🙂

Same, Joe! Id been really inconsistent with my eating the last month. Sunday I decided to really dial it in. It's only been 4 days of eating our anti-inflammatory menu and my joints all feel good. And... I've dropped 4 lbs. I'm not starving myself. I'm eating tons of veggies, fruit and clean protein and I feel so much better.
Let's do this!!!
Hey everyone! I'm Jen and I tackle the mindset portion of this Challenge. I'm so excited for this next one! I can tell you that I KNOW this plan works. If your goals are to reduce inflammation and pain, feel and look better in your body, gain strength and flexibility and (as a woman who just hit 50) age powerfully and gracefully... You're in the right place. I know how to do all the things to be successful. My struggle to be healthy typically starts with keeping my mind right so I can keep a positive attitude and keep going when everything doesn't go according to plan. And let's face it... that happens often in life. (We've all been there. You eat a cookie and then think, "Well I've already ruined the day. I may as well give up.") I've put together some thoughts and tips to help with all those blocks we come up with in our heads that keep us from achieving our goals. The goal isn't perfection. The goal is to feel good. Get really clear about your goals and why they're important to you and let's do this!!!

My BIG win!!
I am a tour guide for Utah Tech and Road Scholar. I just got back from a 10-day tour of all of Utah's National Parks (plus a little bit of AZ). They feed us so well on this tour. I'm willing to bet some people put on 10 lbs. by the end of it. My win is that I've gotten so good at making all the healthy choices on the tour, so I still hit my health goals and feel good while I'm traveling. Some days it's really hard, but I did it! I kept my promises to myself! I leave again for another 10-day tour on Monday and I'm not even worried about all the food on the tour. I can eat well and have a good time and still feel amazing.
My Big Win!
My big win is how much faster I'm recovering from workouts and the muscle and strength I seeing and feeling!
Winning!
(sorry late to post, was traveling for the weekend) Other than feeling awesome and having less back pain already my win is trying new things. I am almost 40 and have always had an aversion to fish. It stinks. Its gross. No thank you. Never cooked fish, didnt want to But on salmon night i decided to just TRYYY some fish. I got tilapia at the butchers suggestion after telling him my situation. And i LOVED it!! And we are going to keep at least tilapia on the family menu! Idk how many more types ill try but im proud 😂😂 I baked it this time. But next time im going to air fry it!

I hate fish. Truly. I've tried it all in so many different ways and I just can't fall in love with it. But I LOVE that you were brave and tried it and found something new you enjoy!
