Facebook Lead Ads
I've been running FB Lead ads and have over 300 downloads, which is great. But I have encountered two problems: 1. I'm using BookFunnel, and Facebook isn't seeing/counting the lead results from BookFunnel. I used my pixel #, and picked "leads" for both BookFunnel and Facebook. Should I use a different category than leads? 2. After running for two or three days, my FB lead ads stop running. This has happened twice. (I duplicated the ad & made some tweaks so the second ad was slightly different.) Do they stop running because FB isn't recognizing that the ads are delivering the results I want? Or could it be something else (I've looked all over my admin pages for any messages that my ads are violating anything, but it says I'm within the guidelines/no reports). Suggestions? Please and thank you!

@Jill Cooper Please - Any chance you can help with this?
Lead Ads
For the past year, I've been working toward launching a reader magnet. And of course FB would change right as I'm launching it. So--here's what's happening. I set up the FB pixel. I'm using PixelMySite to insert the pixel. I'm using a MailerLite embedded form. In two days, I've had 9 signups on my WordPress website, but ZERO actions or results reported by FB. 66 outbound clicks for $15.51. (I doubt those signups are from social media, but that's a possibility.) I read that I'm supposed to insert html code to tell the pixel what page action is the trigger, and I have no way of doing that. The theme I'm using is an Elementor theme, and they block the header/footer edits unless you pay them a fortune. I could try the PRO (pay for) PixelMySite, but I'm not sure that would fix the problem. I don't want to send the FB lead directly to BookFunnel because I want the legal record of boxes checked on Mailerlite that the subscriber is (1) signing up for my newsletter, (2) understands their data is processed in the US, & (3) that they are over 18 (I use 3 separate boxes). Is there a video or help you can provide on how to make the FB pixel work properly on a WordPress website with a Mailerlite embedded form? Or should the pixel be added to the Mailerlite embedded form? Is that my mistake? Please and thank you!

@Malorie Cooper The Mailerlite form is embedded on my website. The lead ad sends the click to my VIP Reader signup page on my website, not directly to Mailerlite, and the prospect fills out the form on my website. I did discover I used the wrong trigger event when I set up the ad--I used "register" (which is what I think of it as) rather than "form". So that may be my problem. I've used the "test" in Business manager and filling out the Mailerlite form in the test mode triggers the "form" pixel. So I duplicated my ad so I can change to "form" as the thing to track. That whole test process would make a great addition to the lead ad training video. I'll have more information once I'm able to start the duplicate lead ad, and I'll provide an update once that happens. Unfortunately, the duplicate ad has a problem (it's not connecting to my payment method even though it's in the same account as the original lead ad) and Facebook is working on a fix. Grrrr.

@Malorie Cooper I may not have been clear about my suggestion. I was talking about a short video on the FB test process for the pixel--how to find the test in business manager, how to use it to test what the pixel can communicate on a given page. So not specific to each lead platform (agree, way too many), but how to use FB's test process to check your own website/lead platform. And I finally got the pixel to work by killing the duplicate ad, and making another duplicate ad...although the pixel suddenly stopped working a couple of days ago, and then started working again today. From what I've seen others post, that may have been a Meta problem.
Multiple FB Ad Accounts?
Hi everyone - I'm trying to revamp my FB ads after a few months break. I have a Shopify store to which obviously I run sales ads, but I also run traffic ads to my translations because those are all in KU in their respective foreign markets. My question is this: A person who taught me how to set up my Shopify store and who has generally given me solid advice is now recommending that if I don't have a separate FB ad account for my sales ads and a separate one for traffic ads, that it's going to mess up the new FB algos and AI. Having a separate ad account for sales vs traffic seems like one more organizational headache, and I haven't seen anyone else saying this is necessary, but thought I'd check here if folks have heard anything like this? According to this person's information, the new FB Andromeda system will have its data polluted if the objectives in a single ad account are mixed?!?

Facebook is really cracking down on multiple accounts. You can have a legal name main account, and build 5 profiles with different pen names from that. You can have Pages run by your legal name that have different ad accounts (e.g., a different ad account for each page's pen name). I'm told some people like to create a page that's not their author name, like a page called Steamy Boyfriends, and run ads from there. But all of those pages are under one legal name. If you vary from that...you are begging for trouble. I'm finding flipping from one page's numbered ad account to another isn't that difficult...

@Jill Cooper I've been afraid to do that. Every time I make a change FB messes up my accounts. Long story, but I'm in the middle of a new pen name launch and they killed my access for a week because they made a "mistake" (they apologized) thinking I was a security scammer after using the same account with no trouble for 10 years. Sorry for the rant. How do you put all the pages under 1 business ad manager? Right now, I have a drop down menu to switch from one account to another, and I keep my different pen names in separate ad dashboards...which is easier for my brain.
Midjourney Videos make cinema-style trailers super easy
If you haven’t checked it out yet, Midjourney’s new video function has just made it so much easier to create your own book trailers. Pretty amazing stuff.

@Stacey Schebel Can you recommend a video tutorial on using Midjourney? Bonus points if it's free. 😉

Really enjoyed 4 Pillars. Question: do you have an updated read-thru spreadsheet where we can include print sales in addition to ebook sales? Please and thank you!
