New Title in the Classroom: AI-Powered Learning Journal Prompt Pack
How to turn an AI into your personal cognitive coach. Most people use AI as a "Ghostwriter"—they ask it to write an essay or solve a problem so they don’t have to. The problem? The AI gets smarter, and the human stays the same. This course changes that. This is a scaffold for your brain. We aren't using AI to "do" the work; we are using it to guide the struggle. Real learning happens when your brain has to work, connect, and retrieve. This Prompt Journal uses proven, research-backed techniques to make sure that what you study today actually stays in your head tomorrow. One small win using technology
Think about a time that you used technology to help improve in some way. What technology did you use and what were the results? Or maybe you’re just getting started and you haven’t had a chance to use technology yet. Share your experiences here and I’ll reply to every comment.

@Frank Bergdoll I teach real estate in New Jersey, and I try to make the experience feel less like a textbook and more like an inspiring journey, similar to Tony Robbins-style energy that helps students genuinely enjoy the idea of becoming an agent. Yes, we have a required book to get through (and it can be pretty dry), but I don’t want the material to land like a checklist. So, I teach it through stories and the Hero’s Journey giving students a storyline they can step into, so the concepts actually stick. My goal is for them to remember what they learn, stay motivated through the licensing process, and feel confident that they can succeed once they’re on the other side of it.(Alot of story telling)

@Eliot AttridgeI really appreciate this new wave of technology—I've been using NotebookLM, and I’ve even started teaching my sons how to use it for high school. I’ve noticed that some teachers are stretched thin. When students ask for extra help, it can come across like there isn’t much patience left—and honestly, I understand why. Teaching is exhausting. But as parents, we feel that pressure too. We try to support our kids the best we can, and sometimes we get frustrated watching how much they have to push through just to keep up. My kids are still up late at night finishing assignments, and it’s a lot. That’s why tools like NotebookLM feel so helpful—it makes researching and learning more manageable, and it gives them another way to understand what they’re working on. I’m not even sure how widely something like this could be used in highschools yet, but I can already see how valuable it is.
