If you want more people to find you, your visibility needs to do more than simply exist. It needs to help people understand what you do, why it matters, and why they should pay attention. That may sounds obvious, but it’s where a lot of business owners get stuck, and it’s one of the main reasons why 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗹 gives you all the space to practice that in our RED LIGHT GREEN LIGHT posts! Here’s what I see a lot: People post consistently, but the message is vague. They introduce themselves, but people still don’t really understand the offer. They share value, but never clearly connect it to how they help. They want more traffic, but the content is not giving people a reason to take the next step. So before you worry about being everywhere, start with these 3 tips from Liz Lemarchand of 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆 & 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻: 𝟭. 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗮𝘁 If someone had to describe what you do to a friend, could they? That is one of the simplest visibility tests. A strong message should make it easy for people to say: “She helps people with ___.” “He’s the person to go to for ___.” “This is exactly who needs her.” If people cannot explain what you do, they are less likely to remember you, refer you, or buy from you. 𝟮. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗵𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 Visibility without direction creates interest, but not always action. If you want people to book, tell them. If you want them to comment, ask. If you want them to join, invite. If you want them to read, link the post. A clear call-to-action is not pushy. It’s useful. People are busy. Don’t make them work too hard to figure out what to do next. 𝟯. 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀 The goal is not to sound impressive, it’s to be understood. Don’t hide behind complicated language like “brand communication optimization.” Say the thing in the words your audience will recognize. That is how people feel seen. And when people feel seen, they pay closer attention.
