Introduction- thank you for viewing our new channel DREAM with Us!
Dream With Us Ep 1 - The Joys of Being Gen X! https://youtu.be/UX6gCD_xUHM https://youtube.com/@dreamwithusdesigns?si=M6lu7frt7oNBiP0E I have been dreaming of creating a YouTube channel for years, but thought I couldn’t commit to creating a channel until after my husband retires. This past year I have been so focused on finding a better paying more fulfilling job but after a year a failed attempts and so many blows to my confidence I decided to make one more pitch to my husband @Joe Selvaggio to start this channel. I felt like the one area I was successful in was our relationship, we have these great conversations and make our dreams a reality through intentional planning, and vision boards. But nothing was working in regards to my career. i struggle so much with sharing my messy parts- so adding a blooper reel at the end and not having my hair make up done was important part of ripping the bandaid off, for me. Right before we started this channel and i was feeling like a total failure the universe gave a solid kick in the butt to lean into my authentic self and I met this woman at a book reading of Build like a Woman by Kathleen Griffith and we started a book club- she is this vibrant success woman who also struggled with dyslexia and I was blown away by our instant connection and I realized it was time to heal. Dyslexia has always been an area I struggle sharing with people and even though our channel is not about dyslexia it is about embracing our next chapter and I hope this group will help me find the strength to develop a voice that will connect to an entire group of people who hold themselves back just a little bit- and encourage them to Dream big with us! Thank you reading my long introduction and I hope you can give us some feedback on ways to improve our channel. Thank you so much for including me in this amazing community!! We have posted 3 videos and 3 shorts in the last 2 weeks and it has been so much fun to work on this project with my amazing husband who dives right after a few nudges. And yes we are doing blooper reels to help get over our perfectionist side!
