Changes in winter
Morning SKOOLERS Today I wanted to touch upon the changes our dogs can experience during winter. I know we've touched a little on this, but like dog training, sometimes little repetitions of messages can help as a gentle reminder of how to advocate for your dogs. - So, anything less than 5° - pop a coat on your dog - Dogs will burn more calories during the winter trying to stay warm, make sure they get some extra nutritional chews - Gut biome can change during winter months, adding a probiotic is a great idea to help your dogs gut health - Your dogs coat can look and feel more dry and harsh to the touch, this is due to cold wet and damp weather outside, and dry heat indoors, using extra oily fish in diets is a great way to maintain soft, colourful coats. What are your top tips for winter with your dog?

For me with Captain who likes to run around like a crazy loon and regularly gets the zoomies when we he gets to his walk destination… more time on his lead to start with to help his muscles “warm up” when it’s really chilly before he goes flat out running around!!!
Sharing is caring
I just wanted to reach out to you amazing SKOOLERS and say that if you are happy and confident to share what you're working on in the group, please do feel free to do so. Whether this is a picture, a video or a general sentence of what's been happening. You might be working on something that someone else is too, and it might just motivate them and refocus them if they're feeling stuck etc. Our SKOOL is a safe place, so share, share and share some more!

Currently working on impulse control with Captain - helping him to learn he doesn’t have to chase everything that moves! Have broken down into lots of steps, but currently getting him in a sit and wait, and then dropping a tennis ball from waist height. He is waiting for his release cue about 30% of the time… it’s work in progress!!!!
Welcome!
Welcome to our SKOOL We would love it if you could introduce yourself, your dog and a little but about you! Share some of your favourite dog pictures, moments you've enjoyed with them and let's bring a huge community feel all together. Here's one of my pups having a snooze!

HELP!
Hey everyone, So I need some help please..... As a dog trainer, there are literally hundreds of topics I can cover in our classroom, whether this is clicker training, basic obedience, how to train a settle mat, loose lead walking and a load more too. Dog training is a journey, we always want to get to the end goal, but I want everyone to understand there are steps and processes, it is not just the finished article like you see on a lot of Facebook videos and TikTok stuff etc. So, with that in mind, I would love you to list behaviours below, you would like to see a complete start to finish process to. Ready, steady, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Might be a tricky one, but anything around barking and lunging whilst travelling in the car - specifically for my boy when seeing bikes and motorbikes!
