The Major Arcana
Every Tarot card deck consists of 78 cards. The Major Arcana are the first 22 and they represent the major milestones of our lives The word "arcana' is Latin meaning secrets, so the Major Arcana represent the "greater secrets" of life. They show the ' bigger picture' of life, from birth, education, work, marriage, all the way to life's completion, or death Many also hold the belief.they represent the "Fool's" (your and mine) journey. If you study these cards you will get a feel for just how accurate this interpretation is. Each card is assigned a number, each number holds a vibration, a deeper meaning. You will learn more about these vibrations and meanings as you go through the courses in this community Here they are, from 1 - 21 (written in Roman Numerals style). Traditional decks, like the Rider Waite cards seem here, use this style of numbering - 0 -The Fool - I - The Magician - II - The High Priestess - III - The Empress - IV - The Emperor - V - The Hierophant - VI - The Lovers - VII - The Chariot - VIII - Strength - IX - The Hermit - X - Wheel of Fortune - XI - Justice - XII - The Hanged Man - XIII - Death - XIV - Temperance - XV - The Devil - XVI - The Tower - XVII - The Star - XVIII - The Moon - XIX - The Sun - XX - Judgement - XXI - The World Where are you on your lifes' journey? Do you know? Wouldn't you like to know? At age 66, with all I have experienced in my life, I find myself currently somewhere between the Moon šŸŒ™ and the Sun ā˜€ļø A little scary but a while lot more exciting too

I haven't seen them all laid out at once in quite some time, a good perspective. As for where I am on the timeline, hard to say, i've already had three different large tower moments in my life, so i'm on some kind of cycle. I would like to think I am between the moon and the sun right now
A Repeat Message from the Universe
Whenever I do a reading I always shuffle my Tarot cards the same way; it's my ritual. I shuffle and cut 3 times and then draw the top card Look what showed up again this morning. My query was "What should I be focused on today?" Remember... there is no such thing as coincidence So, practice your reading skills ... What does this card say to you?

At the moment its telling me that if I plant and prepare I can expect a harvest like the vineyard in the background.
The Queen of Cups
The suit of Cups deals with matters of the heart, compassion, and understanding. The Queen of Cups knows all to well about the highs and lows of the emotional side of life. As a strong feminine energy she has dealt with much through the years and has mastered it all. So much so that her heart is full of wisdom. In this Rider-Waite version of Tarot the Queen holds a very elaborately decorated cup, a symbol of that mastery. Both pain and joy leave marks upon us all, and the memories of how we dealt with and handled situations shapes our lives in so many ways. There is so much more to discover about the Queen of Cups and you can do so by digging further into learning how to read the cards. Start today by simply spending time with this Queen and write down what you see, and what you feel. Does the card bring forth any past memories? Write those down as well

I resonate more with the queen of cups each tine I encounter her, and study her. The flow of emotions like water, how water can be both calmimg and reflecting, and also so powerful and destructive. Raging seas, vs reflecting pools.
One World Tarot
This is my latest discovery and I'm loving it's modern approach in design. The pictures stay very close to the Rider Waite themes so I find it very easy to read. It fits very nicely in to the palm of my hand as well. (Some decks feel a bit big for smaller hands, making shuffling a little more difficult) I would definitely recommend this deck if you have yet to own your own

Simple Step to Learn a Card
Anyone can learn to read Tarot cards, literally anyone. And the simplest way to start is NOT by memorizing what your decks book says about a card but simply by saying/writing down what you SEE Take a look at this Queen of Cups from the Rider Waite deck. Here is what I see: - Green background - Elaborate cup held in her right hand (gloved) - Flowing water under her feet (wavy black & green material?) - She is wearing a long white garment - She is wearing a white and green cape - Elaborate crown on her head - 2 cherubs on the back of her thrown; a third cherub on the side of the thrown - Yellow ? hills/mound behind her thrown - Red flowers on the ground And that is the easiest way to start, simply saying what you see. And then an easy second step is simply to write down, in a word or two, how this card makes you feel I learned thus when I was taking a digital course written by John Edward (Medium). It is the easiest and best first step to get to know the Tarot, one card at a time. Seems simple and yet you will surprised by what you discover First small steps will eventually lead to a better understanding So, a weekend project for you?

I was just in a challenge that did much the same and I was astonished how much symbolism was intentional and in each card
