The Quiet Power of Accepting What Is
Some days, no matter how much you want to feel good, it just feels impossible. You try to stay positive. You remind yourself of everything that’s going well. And yet, the more you try to “fix” how you feel, the heavier everything becomes. It’s subtle, but it’s resistance. ✨ You resist the traffic. You resist your emotions. You resist the moment right in front of you. And then you wonder why peace feels so far away. 🌫️ I’ve noticed this pattern in myself too. Every time I mentally push against what’s happening, I disconnect from the happiness that’s already here. 🌿 It’s not that life suddenly gets worse. It’s that my thoughts start working against the flow of it. Most people try to change what’s outside first. They switch jobs. Fix relationships. Redesign routines. But rarely do they change the one thing that truly shifts everything: their thoughts. 💭 Here’s what’s really happening. The reality in front of you is just the echo of your past thoughts. What you see is what you’ve been believing, feeling, and focusing on. When you complain about it, you keep yourself in the same energetic loop. I’ve worked with people who lived in that frustration for years until one small awareness cracked it open: “Oh, I’m resisting again.” That simple awareness opens a new space. A moment of choice. Acceptance or resistance. Flow or friction. Peace or tension. Every time they chose thoughts that felt even a little better, happy energy started to move again. 🌸 And life began responding differently. Better opportunities. Smoother conversations. A calm sense of enoughness that didn’t depend on circumstances. Here’s what many people miss: Acceptance isn’t giving up. It’s seeing differently. 💫 When you meet reality with acceptance, you reconnect with your true self — the part of you that naturally grows through every challenge. So next time you catch yourself resisting, pause. Breathe. Ask gently, “Can I let this be okay for a moment?” 🌼 That small permission is how peace begins to return.

Its so funny how we don't recognize the simplicity of the moment. We need to accept what is because it is! 😂 Love this Yoshi.
“The root of suffering is attachment.” - Buddha
We spend so much energy trying to keep things the same. We hold tight to plans, to people, to outcomes, hoping control will keep us safe. But it rarely does. It only keeps us braced for what might go wrong. I’ve seen it often. The moment someone loosens their grip, even a little, everything softens. Breath returns. Perspective clears. Buddha said, “The root of suffering is attachment.” It’s a quiet reminder that peace doesn’t come from control. It comes from allowing life to move, even when we don’t know where it’s going. Growth begins there, in that gentle space between effort and ease.

Yes 100%. One of my favorite topics! Attachment to our thoughts and emotions (identity) gets in the way of us sensing into our real selves.
Intro and invite
Hi everyone and Yoshi! So glad to be here! I'd like to do a little introduction: I'm Jeanne and I’m an inner work coach, guiding women over 40 to use inner stillness and gentle surrender as tools to dissolve inner barriers, hear their soul’s guidance, make aligned decisions and take confident soul-led action without second-guessing. I have a NEW 4-week live Zoom experience coming up in September for women ready to stop reacting from old patterns—and start responding with self-trust, clarity, and calm. Why you want to sign up: 🌸Be grounded when discomfort, triggers, or judgmental thoughts arise. 🌸Feel connected to your inner wisdom instead of your old patterns. 🌸Respond from calm, clarity, and self-trust—even when life gets loud. Small group. Real support. 💗 I would love for you to join us. If you are interested in checking it out, all the details are here in this link! https://embodythepauseprogram.embodysacredstillness.com/joinprogram
