Fire within
May I keep the fire burning in me as I prepare for the end of this week. His word is the fire that sparks the coals within me, let it burn so bright oh Lord that I smell like smoke, so that others may ask why I smell this way. Then I can lead them to you.
Why Success Doesn’t Always Equal Fulfillment
Yesterday’s VBS was awesome. Huge thank you to everyone who jumped in, shared their stories, and added so much depth to the discussion. I had a few questions come in afterward, so I wanted to share some thoughts for anyone who couldn’t make it. Serving rarely makes sense time wise or financially, but when its done with a genuine servants heart, it often brings the fulfillment we have been searching for. Many of us work on our bodies, minds, and habits, which are all good things. But what if that work is preparation, not the destination? What if we are being equipped to serve others better? True fulfillment comes from using our spiritual gifts daily and living with a servant’s heart. That is why the mission has to be bigger than ourselves. God calls us to create impact through serving people, and that is where fulfillment is found. I put some of the slides in here for reference as well as some of the reflection questions, and I would love to see some of your answers in the comments below!

Virtual Bible Study??
Weston and I have been talking about adding a weekly virtual Bible study inside the community. A space to slow down, get grounded, and grow together in faith. Before we build it out, we want to see who would actually want to be part of it. If this is something you’d be interested in joining, take a second and cast your vote below:

Welcome to XV Life - Start Here
We want this to be a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing their dreams and passions, knowing they’re supported along the way. Each person here brings their own experience, story, and perspective, and all of it matters. This is a community built on growth, trust, and encouragement where we help one another feel safe, heard, and seen. Let’s believe in each other and move forward together. Step 1: Go ahead and introduce yourself in the comments below Share your name, where you’re from, and something fun about you Step 2: Choose one lane Comment under the feed topic that fits you best (fitness, mental health, etc.) this week and answer one question, share one struggle, or one small win, nothing polished required. Step 3: Engage with one person Like or reply to at least one post in the feed. Encouragement builds momentum for them and for you!

What's up everyone!! My name is Jay Louis, but to the friends that know it's just Unc. I currently reside in Weatherford Texas. I am retired from the United States Army, I worked in the Oil and Gas industry for years after my retirement as an engineer. Left that job during COVID to pursue another engineering job in construction around the DFW area. The job was great, met some amazing people during that time which formed awesome relationships I still have to this day. After stepping down from that position due to insane traveling all over the US, I am currently just advising up and coming engineers and people who are trying to break into there own construction business. May true passion has always been to help people (mostly Veterans) to handle mental health issues. As a Veteran myself it's hard to open up about the many things we had to endure during our military tours. Not just in war time but, just mentally period. Lately I have struggled with finding my niche. Trying to stay focused and figure out my next move in life. I lost my faith years ago, and being able to find my faith in God again last year has truly helped me to appreciate the people I have in my life.
