Good morning!!! Here from Iowa, USA!
Excited to learn some new stuff. Been dabbling in guitar for 25yrs and ready to find the missing parts to put it all together.

I'm Back! ๐Ÿฅณ ๐ŸŽธ
After 10 days of rest I am feeling better and ready to jump back into Jooba Guitar ๐Ÿฅณ. A massive thanks to all the kind email replies and comments inside the Jooba guitar community. ๐Ÿ’™ I really appreciate you guys and this is turning to out to be a very cool online space. ---- Here's a couple of things I did to get out of my hole. I will only list the things I did that helped, not the unhealthy stuff like isolating. ๐Ÿ˜Ž 1. Start the day well Started swimming at sunrise in the ocean with other people. A friend gave me some advice to spend the first 30min or so of the day watching the sunrise. This led me to discover a group of awesome people who jump of the pier and swim every morning. I joined them. 2. Read some good books. I have been listening again to the book โ€œStumbling toward wholenessโ€ by Andrew J. Bauman This book was recommended during a hard time I went through a few years back and I keep coming back to it. Really intense, but really good. 3. Phone a friend I shared openly where I was with a few people I trust. We all know this is essential but it's really difficult while in the midst of the situation. Made a massive difference 4. Cancel a bunch of stuff I wouldn't normally recommend this but in my case I think it helped. 5. Saw a psychiatrist This didn't help for the reason you would think. But in short, hearing someone say I had to be booked into a mental hospital for 2 weeks and be put on permanent meds really gave me the drive to get over it in a healthier way. :) I'm just rebellious with certain things. Sometimes I believe pills can help, but for me I knew this was not the way to go. 6. Made good plans I made some non-adhd plans for the future. ๐Ÿ˜‚ Sometimes people like me create big plans and dreams because we are really discontent and depressed with the way things are. Instead of dealing with the stuff, we create these ambitious dreams.. like buying a $1.5 mil house and converting it into a music school.. Which I still think is a good idea but not something to focus on now..

Splintered guitar
Hey community, while playing today, my guitar fell of the strap and splintered on the edge. Does anyone have tips or knows what to do? Thx!

Oh nooo - very sorry to hear that. My prior guitar was dropped by a friend and the entire neck split. It was a very painful experience and I still have it in my cellar and am planning on trying to fix it if I ever come around to it. So I hope there is still the silver lining that it looks like the guitar is still fully functional and it is rather something cosmetic - but this will still be very painful! What Out could do depends a lot on the worth of your guitar and your skills/experience plus your expectation how perfect of a result you are going for. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like only the paint/laquour chipped off. Or did also wood chip off? If so - do you still have the entire piece? If so and if it fits I'd glue it back in. If the wood piece is missing and it is a small chip you could mix wood first with wood glue and fill it in and then slightly sand it down to make it smooth again. But it would remain visible. But I think redoing the paint finish is a different beast. Blending it in with the original in a way that the paint job is not obvious takes a lot of skill. If so you might want to check out a Luthier in your area and have them do it all.
