Staying warm with stogies!
Saturday was gorgeous. The Mother Nature went off her meds again and it's in the mid-40's with winds out of the North. First cigar was an AJ Fernandez New World. These are such great cigars, I always think of the smoothness and the coca notes with a little bit of vanilla. After that, it was out to the back deck to fire up the grill and one of my favorites the Rocky Patel Sun-Grown Maduro. It's described as full bodied but I don't experience that until the last 3rd. I definitely get roasted coffee, a bit of leather and some spice. On The grill is straight chicken breasts on the left and tequila lime marinated chicken breast on the right. For round two, I'll be throwing on some salmon patties mixed with feta cheese and spinach. Would have liked to be doing this in better weather but still a great time to be off work outdoors and smoking really good cigars!

Smoking Monk of Esteli Imperial Stout
Enjoying a good pairing on a sunny Saturday. The Smoking Monk of Esteli Imperial Stout and a Guinnesss. Cigar International says these are from an experiment from Jonathan Drew, who wanted to have cigars that would pair with different beers. I've only had these out of the four produced. It has good notes of coffee, cocoa and some mild spices. As intended, it pairs really well with a dark beer. I believe the line is discontinued but it seems CI is always finding stuff in their warehouse corners, so maybe they'll be available again. Blessed by the Brotherhood
@Jay Harrell blessed me with this Ave Maria Reconquista, and I had to light it up right. There’s something different about smoking a cigar that came from another member, it hits a little deeper. Not just flavor… but connection. Appreciate you, Jay. This is what the Clubhouse is about. What’s the last cigar someone put you on to?

Hell, we gotta share what we know and enjoy! Buddy of mine introduced me to Alec Bradley's Magic Toast. What a solid cigar, IMHO. DaVon has introduced me to not just cigars but brands I've never heard of but glad I know about now!
Cigars and Homework
Off the road and into the books, but I couldn't let the day pass without a good cut & light. Flathead Speed Shop by CAO, a little Texas bourbon to accompany it, and a Coors Banquet to rinse the pallet. Not sure how productive I'll be doing homework but It'll still be there tomorrow... 🤷🏾‍♂️

That lineup is one of my favorites. Not a bad stick in the bunch.
🥃💨 National Cigar Day Setup 💨🥃
Trying something different tonight — a pre-made Old Fashioned with 1792 by Sazerac, but I couldn’t leave it alone. Had to hit it with some oak chips and give it a little smoke. Pairing it with an H. Upmann Heritage to round things out. That’s how I’m celebrating National Cigar Day over here. How’s everyone else lighting up tonight?

I enjoy mostly full strength cigars, paired with Scotch, Bourbon or Rye.
