Why most automation fails (and how to fix it)
After 20+ years in QA, here’s the biggest mistake I see: 👉 Teams try to automate EVERYTHING Result: ❌ Flaky tests ❌ Slow execution ❌ Low trust What actually works: ✔️ Focus on critical user journeys ✔️ Keep tests simple and reliable ✔️ Use APIs where possible (not just UI) ✔️ Leverage AI to accelerate—not replace thinking 👉 Question:What’s your biggest challenge with flaky tests?

Flaky tests hide real failures, slow feedback, and make teams ignore test results. My real time biggest challenge: inconsistent test reliability that destroys trust and wastes engineering time. In CI, Test quarantine is the process of marking unstable tests to be skipped during automated testing while keeping them in the codebase for future fixing. This helps prevent flaky tests from blocking development and allows teams to focus on more reliable tests. But again, this is time consuming. Any other solid suggestions?
