So, what's my #1 thought here? It's the lack of an actual offer. The free group has an offer to a certain extent: "connect, grow, and get seen" But here in paid, there isn't really an offer. I can see the odd buried bit, like "Perform, refine, and fuel your fire"... but it's not very clear. Even though the entry price is nice and low at $10, poets will need to be 100% clear on what they get in paid versus free. "More calls"? Why is that good - what is the outcome of the calls? "More growth"? In what way? How will they grow and how will that benefit them? Summary: visitors to your About Page need to be clear on the transformation they will make after spending time in your group. :) When you hit Level 3, here in the Clinic, you'll unlock an Offer Formulae Vault in Classroom, with some very useful templates for offers. Try plugging your own offer into those templates and see how you do! :) Hope the above makes sense? If you have any questions, ask away.:)

@Ilia Kapustin great to hear, Ilia! Let us know how you get on?
Just wanted to say thank you Jason!
I'm writing this for no other reason than to thank Jason for not only his expertise, but this community. Reading through his diagnoses of all your about pages gave me a good idea of how to approach my own. If you're not already doing this, definitely do so! I wouldn't say my own about page is perfect, but I have felt much more confident going forward, especially in the field of copy. I felt I have learned tremendous amounts. So thank you Jason - keep on doing amazing things. 🙏🏻

What puts people off a VSL?
Nice thread in Skoolers here from @Marcin Hakemer-Fernandez , asking folk what makes them stop watching an About Page video. Read the comments and avoid those pitfalls! One thing that doesn't get talked about enough (the same being true for YouTube videos) is the VSL length. Go over about 8 minutes and you may lose a portion of people before they even hit Play.

@Lisa Vanderveen Good question, Lisa! I advise the same approach with any free-to-paid route - that it's best to target the kind of person who'll pay. So the offer should involve the kind of dream outcome that people are up for paying for... even if not straight away. :)

@Sarah Hankins Yeah, plus it's free stuff! Free help. As always with this stuff, though, depends on how warm most of the visitors will be and where they've come from. I couldn't see too much point in a free training when someone's coming here through an educational YouTube channel, f'rinstance. Likewise with images vs video - really depends on how much persuading most visitors will need.

Right then, @Nicholas Svaikauskas! Let's start the week right and take a look :) Your overall idea and proof are strong, but there a few things that can be improved. The #1 thing to focus on is the psychology of your visitor, instead of a list of group features/benefits that aren't as persuasive or interesting as we creators all like to think they are! :D Using your avatar's language, you can list a few of their biggest pain points. Both things will convey that you understand them and what they're going through - as WELL as shaking them out of any complacency they have. It will then be great, a little further down the page, to paint a wonderful picture of the future self that they will become when they join Wealthy Contractor Academy! People pay for transformations - to become the best version of themselves. They don't care TOO much about the process that will get them there. (Obviously you can hint at that if you like, or go a bit more into it in the VSL) Bonus tip: boil down the offer, so that it's much more straightforward, more like "We help tradespeople scale from survival to $1M/year with simple systems" that you already have in your group bio. I also like the "without working 24/7" element, because people obviously want to avoid the thing they least want to do. Hope this helps, sir! 😊👊 If you want to try a few more ideas for your offer, you can unlock the Offers Vault in Classroom at Level 3 to find a few handy templates. There's also a Pain Points course that goes more into depth on the uses and psychology of that approach.

Okay, @Matt Fried, let's take a look! Straight off the bat, I LOVE that you've not only included the month and the year, but included them in your offer. That is genius. Lately, I've been seeing YouTube adverts with two old guys offering to help older guys (no idea why I'M being shown these ads, cough) get in shape - and they always cleverly include the date they're getting started or whatever it is. Your offer is also in the top 5% of offers by (a) offering people what they actually want (b) being specific about the weight loss and time period (c) existing within one of the four buckets people are very willing to pay for (money, beauty, relationships and chronic pain) So that's the praise outta the way. In terms of the #1 thing you can focus on, I'm torn between introducing stronger pain points and getting rid of the list of group benefits/features. Actually, I think the #1 has to be the pain points. Because most people know they could/should lose 5-10 pounds before summer (there's a more specific angle for you - summer's coming!), but so many of them will put that off forever. One of the many things a set of concise pain points will achieve is shaking them out of their complacency. A particularly incisive pain point may also spell out the potential cost of inaction, which is a real driver in persuading people to grasp the nettle and get moving. So I would think of the 3 most painful things that your ideal client is suffering, even if they're doing their best to forget about that pain. How old are they, by the way? Doesn't look like you're narrowed that down so far - but if you can, it'll help you speak their language when reflecting their biggest pain back at them. Does this help and/or make sense, Matt? 😊👊
