How to make money with beehiiv
I've almost been using beehiiv for two years now, and in that time they've been stacking ways to monetize on the platform. Here's the main ways you can make money from beehiiv currently: 1. Subscription model: Offer a premium tier with exclusive content and potentially access to a community, expect around 0.5-2% conversion rate 2. Sponsorships: beehiiv's own ad network makes it super easy to get sponsors. With my 10K subscribers and 60% open rate, I'm averaging about $25 per main sponsored ad and $10 for a secondary ad per send. And with sponsorships I source myself I'm making around $200 per send. 3. Affiliate marketing: I include affiliate links for relevant products/services, in my case website marketplace listings on Flippa. 4. Digital products: You can create one-off products such as ebooks and courses. 5. beehiiv Boosts: I earn $2-3 per new subscriber I refer to other newsletters through the Boost program. 6. Consulting: I offer 1:1 calls to subscribers, which has led to a few high-paying referrals and clients. The key has been diversifying and experimenting to see what resonates with my audience. What monetization strategies are working for you on beehiiv? Any tips to share?

Agree, the ad network does make things easy. The CPM model now helps since if you have a high open rate but low click rate, more $$$. I can make between $200-$500 per send since I have a 100K subscriber list. Would love to source myself though since that would be more lucrative. Can't seem to get any bites though.
Empire Flippers L12M sales vs 2022 (over 50% reduction)
I've not looked at the state of the industry reports since I was at Flippa, and was surprised to see just how much sales have reduced over the last couple of years. (Props to EF for always being so transparent). In the 2023 report, total sales were $86M Over the last 12 months on the EF scoreboard, total sales are $42M. Is this a change in the overall industry? EF is of course fine, but are the majority of smaller M&A marketplaces now struggling to get enough new deals to close?

Does anyone have experience with the Acquire.com platform? i.e. Is it worth the cost for buyers?

@Richard Patey - thanks. meaning Flippa Premium is to online businesses as Acquire.com Premium is to startups?
