I’m thinking of adding a 5 wood or hybrid to the bag. I have a bit of a gap at the upper end between my 3 wood and 4 iron.

Didn’t go the 5 wood OR hybrid route. Ended up putting a Titleist U505 3 utility iron into the bag. More consistent dispersion that with the 5 wood and hybrid. Hitting that 235-240 window I was looking for.

Looking for comments. Age is setting in!
Currently using Titleist 716 AP1 irons / stiff shaft and I'm inconsistent hitting them. Age is setting in and my swing speed is down. Recently swapped out my driver for a Ping G430 with a light regular flex shaft and I'm hitting it well. I've set up a fitting with the Ping guys to see what's up with their irons with an eye on a lighter shaft. I'm looking for feedback. Any insights are appreciated. Thx! Gene

If you can get your hands on the Srixon MKII line to try, I highly recommend them. They feel incredible and look great. I have the ZX5 MKII and can’t speak highly enough of them.

7 Wood
I typically shoot around 90 for 18 holes. I’m considering purchasing a 7 wood, my brother just bought one and I hit it at the range. I hit several balls and the all flew high, long, and straight so I think I’m sold. Please give me your recommendations on what brand you think I should buy. I look forward to hearing from you. Just my $.02 but if you hit your brother’s 7 wood high, long and straight I’d suggest picking up whatever that club was. Make sure you try it for a couple range sessions but sounds like a good club in your hands.
