Purpose
Mental Lagging was created to be a welcoming and supportive space within the gaming community—and beyond it. This is a place for gamers on Xbox/PC or PS, whether you play casually, competitively, or just to unwind after a long day. We’ll be gaming together, grouping up, and hanging out live on Twitch, building connections through the games we love. Mental Lagging isn’t just about gaming. This community exists so people feel comfortable enough to reach out, to join a group, jump into chat, or simply talk. We all need someone to listen now and then, and here, you don’t have to feel alone. Whether you’re here to play, watch, or just vibe, this is a space built on positivity, understanding, and support. If you’ve ever wanted to game with others but felt hesitant, anxious, or unsure, you’re in the right place. You don’t need to be the best player or the loudest voice, just be yourself. We’re here to support each other, make new connections, and create something meaningful together. Group up, hang out, and take it at your own pace. You belong here. 💚🎮

Welcome
Welcome to Mental Lagging! This is our very first post, and we’re excited to grow this community together. Mental Lagging was created to be a welcoming, supportive space, especially within the gaming community. Gaming has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. It’s how I unwind, reset, and cope with the day. Living with anxiety and depression, and being diagnosed with Treatment-Resistant Generalized Anxiety Disorder (TR-GAD), gaming has always been my safe place. Over the years, gaming has grown into a massive, diverse community with millions of players across every genre imaginable. I’ve seen the best of it, and the not-so-great parts too. While gaming can be incredibly inclusive, the negative side sometimes gets the most attention, and that can make people hesitant to join in or play with others. This community exists for anyone who wants to game with others but may not feel comfortable doing so yet. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something but felt too anxious, unsure, or afraid to take that step, you’re not alone. I know that feeling well. Starting this community is a big step for me, but it’s one I believe in. My goal is to encourage connection, positivity, and understanding, and to build real bonds over a shared love of gaming. Here, you don’t have to be perfect, competitive, or outspoken, just be yourself. We’re glad you found us. You Belong Here

Hi everyone! Jase here, I have been diagnosed with TR-GAD (20+ years). I love gaming, my classic cars and being with friends and family. .
