New Elysium Droptroops from Warlord Games???
Ok, they are 'Fireflies' for Konflikt '47, but they will see service with my Imperial Guard.... Here's how I painted them!

@Arnold Schroeder It plays very similar to Bolt Action (Essentially the same game with a couple of extra mechanics), so will feel 'familar' to 40k players, similar movement rates, target dice rolls etc.
3 Ways To Get Your Hands On These New Minis
Originally, this wasn't intended as a group to just discuss the game. Our mission here isn't "get gud, nerd" Our mission here is to help Warhammer players get more models by creating income generating assets and finding ways to save for more minis. I'm not talking about skipping your morning Starbucks for a month to save for minis, either. Here's a few examples. The first is inviting people to this group. Starting very soon, I'll be adding an affiliate option here and when people buy stuff from the classroom section, if y'all refer them, I shoot ya a cool 50%. On recurring things, it'll be for the life of their subscription! Second, is the second hand minis market. If you have minis to sell, you could go sell them yourself on marketplace or eBay. If you don't know how to do all that, I'll help you for a small percentage of the sale. You'll take the lions share. I just want a small bit for my efforts. And let me share a third one, join affiliate programs for your favorite things you tell people about. I'm in the process of becoming a monument hobbies and colour forge paint affiliate. For everything that people buy through my link, I'll get a small commission. You can do this too. It does take setting up an affiliate account with them and recording some Tik Tok videos or getting access to a community but it's a lot easier than getting a part time job!

There's several new marine detachments
I haven't liked space marines much, despite owning a ton of them but last week some new, interesting detachments dropped, so I might get my old dusty white scars back out for a bit! Are you guys excited about any of the new stuff?

@Patrick Persianni I've been planning a LotD army, but with a twist.... Space Marine models, Deamon rules..... (Infurnus Squad, counts as Tzeentch Flamers, Bikers count as Khorne Juggernaughts, Assault Squad counts as Bloodletters etc...)

I have a large collection of Space Marines, mostly still on sprue.... I use the new detachents/Kill Teams as a reason to get them out the Shedquarters and painted up (Mostly as Mentor Legion)
Thinking I might auction off some of my marines
Maybe you can help me decide... Since I started this group, I have been considering auctioning off some or even all of my space marines. If I did that, would you bid a buck? 1 dollar, to get it rolling? I would start with one unit and as people bid on it, the closer I get to retail, the more units I would add. So let's say I am auctioning off terminators, they typically go for about 50 to 60 bucks or so... Well, if we started getting into that range I might add in some infiltrators and as the bidding goes up I would add in more and more units, might add in some paints and other surprise goodies too, but only if there's enough people who would be down to play? If there's no interest I may just pick through them and then put them on eBay instead but wanted to see if you guys would be interested first. It'll be a good deal for whoever wins, I'll make sure of that. So let me know, would ya bid a buck in a live auction, right here in Skool?

I'm in the UK, so shipping would bring it close to RRP.... especially as I live less than a mile from Warhammer World!
Let's Paint Over The Next Week
Grab a model you want to paint. One you're willing to test some new skills on. Look at the model. How do you want it to look? Grab your primer and prime that puppy. We're gonna paint it together. Get all of the paints you want for the base colors. Looking at your model, there's segmented sections on the model. There may be armor panels or muscles or weapons. Get one paint ready for each of those segments. This is a standard paint method, so no contrast paints. Now paint the whole model the main color you want it to be. After that's done, use the secondary paints that you chose everywhere you intend to use them. No need to be super careful at this point, just get your base paints on the model. If you were painting an ultramarine, you'd paint the whole thing a dark blue. Paint the darkest paint first. After you have your main color on you might paint your weapons or holsters etc. Just get the paint on today. Post the pics below in the comments when that's done. Tomorrow we'll do the next step together.

Here's how I painted the epic Pike & Shotte, the method works for GW's Warmaster/Bo5A miniatures too. (The Drop Troop Painting Video goes live on Friday!)
