The Talk
Good morning Bankable Speakers, so I was approached again to deliver a 15 min Art of Pitching Presentation. The coordinator who I’ve worked with in the past and delivered a free presentation a few weeks ago, asked me to do it for his college students tomorrow (last minute). While I love this talk, I can’t keep giving it away for free. What should I do?

Thank you Dr. Shana, I informed him of my fee and he apologized and thought that was I free resource shared by my pastor (who is also the COO of a large non-profit) in my hometown. I'm glad to establish these new boundaries!

Thank you! I do appreciate it. There were other speakers and no budget. Travel and time was something I considered and didn't think it was the best opportunity. I appreciate this breakdown this is great!

Today I sent 8 pitches. I pitched using first-degree. One thing I noticed as I took action was it became easier - it didn't seem as scary lol once I got to 5 pitches. I plan to send out more tonight! I used LinkedIn as a way to send the first degree - I have over 2300 followers surely someone can connect me to someone who has an opportunity.
February 2026 Pitch Goals
Its the first of the month! What are your numbers for last month? If you don't keep track you won't know where you are and what you need to tweak next month. Get your numbers and share your goal for this month so we can celebrate you. No number is too small. A pitch is a pitch and they all count!! How many pitches did you send? How many responses did you get? How many phone calls did you book? How many speaking gigs were booked? And what is your pitch goal for this month?

at least 27 - I will say 24 of them was with my old method. 3 of them was with what we talked about Dr. Shana - 1 booked, 2 I have phone calls coming up :)
