I got this question on a post in the land of FB today: Hi Jade .. I’ve been traveling a little lately, and considering future trips too. I walked past an agent this weekend and I wondered: what does using an agent give me that I wouldn’t get by organising my travel plans, and what does that service cost me? Agents obviously need to make an income but I’m trying to understand how it all works, as I’ve never used an agent before. Happy to receive a DM if you’d like. Genuine question! What do you think my response was? What do you think of the value of a travel agent is?
