@Tiffany Gray it would be good to understand trucking if never
Good Morning…. Should I slow down?
I have a sit down with two trucking companies today that are struggling on the road. Both companies have 6-8 trucks. The owner drives the truck and is dispatching them as well for both companies. I know them from my time driving. And plus more companies I know. I told them I’m starting a dispatching company and the very first thing they asked is what’s going to make me different from everyone else that calls them. I told him that I’m not fixing to promise you the world and all this money. But I will promise you success in your trucking company. And with success comes a weight off your shoulders with paperwork, negotiating, and etc. they even asked could I handle backend paperwork and I started thinking about a team then. But I told him my percentage would go up in that case. I say that to say this. There are carriers/owner ops out there needing help. We gotta put boots on the ground and go out there and get it! Rule of thumb. The old school truckers don’t believe everything they see on Facebook or social media. Sometimes we gotta get out our comfort zone and do something different! Hope you guys have a great day!

Thinking like a Truck Driver
If I have hired you to be my dispatcher I have already told you what lanes I want and you already have what I need to make and you know how I get down. Then why call me and ask me will I take a load. I pay you for that and to make it happen. Does anyone agree? I mean think about it, if I find 3 loads and call 3 times we wasting time and money. The driver should trust you enough to handle the operation. I mean that’s what he paying for. I mean anybody can go on a load board and find a load. They can do that for themselves. What are we bringing to the table!! Let’s be GREAT!!! 💯

As a dispatcher we need them to understand this. I’m not just gone be on no load board waisting your time nor mines. I’m here to drive you to success. I see so many dispatcher ads come across my timeline and as I read them they all say the same thing and in the comments the drivers are saying the same thing. So question is what are we going to do to be different? It’s as simple as getting you in position to be successful. The one lie I see on their ads is we have dedicated lanes. Still not understanding how that’s possible without being a broker. But you saying you a dispatcher with dedicated lanes. I’m like cmon. In this class I want to learn dispatching at its finest.
