I remember when I was younger playing an event called the "Green and Golden Ball". The location was in Wembley, we finished the gig at 22:45 (10 to 15 minuests over) after packing away and socialising, my dad and I set off for home at around 23:30. I then had to go from drumming at this event to my job, which at the time was being a groom for international Showjumpers. So that 24hrs consisted of packing my drum kit at 5am, went to work to pack and prepare everything for a 3 week tour with horses to Spain, (that took the whole day non stop), then at around 17:00 I was on the road to the gig, 18:30 set up, 19:00 play first set, 20:15 stop to socialise and eat, 21:15 play the last set, pack down and load the band equipment into the car with my drum kit, get to back work at around 1am to nap for a couple hours at the yard before we all set off in the lorry at 3.30am heading for Dover. I didn't manage to sleep at the yard but I did sleep on the horsebox on the way to Dover for an hour or so. Exhausting but I loved it.
