Live Session In June
Hello everyone! I've decided to do a live session on Friday, June 26th @ 10am EST. This is so we can introduce ourselves to the community. Also, let us know what is the one thing you need help with. We are all working on something and sometimes we can get stuck on our progress and or process. We are all here to help each other. If this works for everyone we can do this once a month. Let me know if you'll be attending.

Money Monday-Where Does It Actually Go?
I used to think I was bad with money. Then I tracked my spending for one week and realized I wasn't bad — I just wasn't paying attention. This week, I want you to do one thing: track every dollar you spend from today through Sunday. Phone notes, a notebook, a spreadsheet — whatever works best for you. At the end of the week, drop back in and tell us: What surprised you most? I'll check back in on Friday. No shame in the numbers — awareness is the first step. I'm going to do the exercise with you. 💸 Important Notice: If you don't have the time or the inclination to participate in the community please let me know and I can remove your name. No hard feelings but Skool works best when we all participate. It's the only way we can grow and help each other.

Think About It Thursday
I gave 28 years to one agency. And I am grateful. But I also know this: The agency was not going to build my wealth for me. The pension helps — but it was never designed to make me financially free. Here's my question for you today: Did anyone in your government career ever sit you down and talk to you about building income outside of your job? A supervisor, a mentor, a union rep — anyone? Yes or no — and if yes, what did they say? I'll go first: Nobody talked to me about income outside of the job or about finances for that matter. I was a union representative and what we told members was how to read their pay stub; what was the difference between net pay and gross pay. I was in debt my entire working career. Now I know better and do better with my finances. If you feel comfortable please share.

I had a supervisor encourage me to contribute to my retirement plan. It was in the beginning and my thinking was I need all my money NOW. But he encouraged me to start with 2%. I did and noticed how it accumulated and I increased it every time I got a raise. I am grateful for him to this day.
Freedom Friday - One Skill, One Dollar
It's Friday. Let's make this real. Pick ONE skill you use at work — writing emails, creating spreadsheets, training new staff, managing a schedule, handling complaints, operating equipment. Even if you are retired think of the skills you used when you were working. And don't dismiss your current entrepreneurial skills. Now answer this: If someone outside your agency needed that skill, what would you charge them for one hour of your time? Don't say "I don't know." Give me a number. Even a guess. Even if it feels too low or too high — just name it. Drop your skill + your number below. We're practicing saying our worth out loud. I'll go first: I uploaded my revised resume to Upwork, a freelance platform, and I put $40 an hour for my service. Was it uncomfortable, yes, but I did it. It's a start.

This is a good topic. I teach paint pouring classes, a skill I learned back in 2019. Now I proudly state I am an artist, but now I am being asked how much is it to do a class. I need to think about that seriously, today I am snot ready to give a price, but I am ready to seriously think about it so i can have an immediate answer. So I need a plan, so I can respond.
