There is no perfect time to take on clients. You will never know EVERYTHING you need to feel confident enough to start. You have to just start. As you are learning, your business should be growing too — and your business can’t grow without clients. So start with one. Gain some experience. Then take on another, then another. Each client gives you more insight and confidence. But here’s the flip side: don’t rush so fast that you’re taking on client after client before you actually know what you’re doing. That’s rare, but it happens — and in this industry, doing the books correctly isn’t optional. It’s the difference between protecting your client (and yourself) legally, or creating a mess that costs someone real money and trust. That’s exactly why I recommend the Bookkeeper Launch course — not just to get you started, but to be there as a reference when you hit something in the books you’re not 100% sure about. You don’t have to hold it all in your head. You just have to know where to look. Growth isn’t about learning everything first, and it isn’t about taking on everything at once either. It’s steady. One client, one lesson, one step at a time. If you’re a Premium member, I’ll be live tomorrow morning — bring your questions, your “am I doing this right?” moments, all of it. Not Premium yet?
