Self-Preservation Reflection
The Self-Preservation instinct focuses on our well-being, security, and the practical foundations of life. It asks: "Do I have enough?" (House, food, money, resources etc) Question: How much of your attention this week has been devoted to maintaining your life and how much has been available for truly living it? Just notice. Awareness itself is valuable.

@Brad Weyant My 21 year old is home for summer so we wanted to try to get some time with her. Also heading to Chicago this weekend (again 😩) to move my 24 yo to her new apt. Lots to do while we’re here.
Instinct Reflection: One-to-One
The One-to-One instinct is attuned to attraction. It pulls us towards others, captivates us, and calls for our energy. It relates more to connecting with an individual. This instinct isn't only about relationships. It also shows up in our passions, interests, and the things that awaken a sense of vitality. Reflection: What are you magnetized toward these days and what might that attraction be trying to show you about yourself?

Jigsaw puzzles! All I want to do these days is work on my puzzle. I feel it’s me needing down time. Time to quiet my brain and just be.

@Brad Weyant Yes! So meditative. I can’t even listen to a podcast when I do it because I’m so in the zone.
🎉 Happy Father’s Day!
Happy happy Father’s Day to @Brad Weyant and all the other fabulous dads in this group. In this group especially, it warms my heart to see so many dads doing the self-reflection and self-awareness work. Your kids are so lucky to have such such thoughtful men in their lives setting such amazing examples. ❤️
Type Six Reflection
Type Six often asks: “What could go wrong?” This gift helps you anticipate problems, prepare well, and support those around you. Today, notice what happens when you shift the question from: “What if things go wrong?” to “What if I can handle whatever comes?” Trust is not the absence of uncertainty. Trust is discovering your capacity to meet life as it unfolds.

@Brad Weyant @Tony Sibbald This one is interesting! Personally I prefer the statement Brad shared. However I know my husband would prefer Tony’s statement. 😅 For me, if I have a concern about something, suggesting I don’t worry about it just stresses me out more as it doesn’t address or solve the problem/concern and feels invalidating. I’m someone who likes to imagine worse case scenario because if it’s something I can plan for or handle, then I feel more comfortable letting things play out. Just super interesting how all our brains work so differently!

@Brad Weyant Oh I so feel for your mom. Sounds like my husband and I. After over 30 years together he still thinks telling me to not worry about something could actually work. 🙄
Something new is brewing
Hi all, I've been pretty absent the past month. My other water business completely swallowed me up, and then we went on vacation to Mexico! Everything is really good. It's just taken up every second of my available time, leaving very little space to interact here. I'm actively working on a plan to hire someone and free myself back up. At the same time, I'm doubling down on a 3–5 year path toward some goals over there, which would likely involve exiting the business at the end of that journey. That requires my time and attention right now. I still have a few coaching clients outside of this group, and I'm going to intentionally limit the growth of that for the time being as well. So what do I do with this Skool community that would still be fun for me, a light lift, and contribute to supporting others on their growth journey? I've decided to start sharing the Enneagram here. I've spent nearly a decade studying it from a variety of teachers and traditions, and it's been one of the most valuable maps I've found for understanding ourselves and the patterns that shape our lives. I can say the day I learned about the Enneagram was a pivot point in my life that can not be undone. I see the world in the patterns within the system. I want to keep it simple. Not my full on in depth unfolding / coaching work. I'll share what I know and keep this group very basic and an easy lift for everyone each week. I'd love to hear what you'd like to learn as I bring pieces to the system here. Grateful for you all.
