Does your cat prefer a water bowl or a running water fountain?
Many cats prefer running water because it feels fresher and more natural to them. That’s why some cats drink more from a water fountain than from a regular bowl. However, every cat is different — some are perfectly happy with a clean water bowl. The most important thing is that your cat drinks enough water every day and that the water is clean and filtered to support good health.

Cats know what’s good for them.I genuinely feel for the many animals who spend their lives indoors and are given only tap water. Years ago, when I had cats and believed tap water was perfectly fine, I often wondered why my cat kept scratching around the water bowl as if trying to cover it. Today I understand — it was his way of telling me that something wasn’t right with the tap water. In this situation, I think the decisive factor is not the bowl, but the water itself. I know that you made a good-quality water at home and your cat doesn’t have to drink tap water.
