Merry Christmas
Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas, may it be full of joy, with peace moments to enjoy your horses. My Christmas image below (with Chap GPT) shows my beloved dog Molly and my three last horses. All of which are still happy and thriving. Both the chestnut, Vera and the grey cob Pearl are e horses of a lifetime. The bay taught me a lot - a real lot! To get this image I asked Chat for what I wanted and uploaded the photos.

To all the friends that I have made over the years at camp, and in particular to you, Janet, have an enjoyable and healthy Christmas! X
Summer Camp Community
Whether you have been to lots of camps or are planning to come to your first camp in 2026, this community is for you. The aim is to bring the warmth of our camps to brighten up those rainy days & cold dark nights. Please introduce yourself and of course your horse to the group 🙂

If you are in ANY doubt as to whether to come to camp; don't be! Me and Sam came to the very first one 17 years ago and have been coming ever since. We have had SEVERAL wowzer moments of understanding, thanks to the amazing standard of instructors. After years of being left behind at jumps, because my over enthusiastic beast thought it best to clear each jump from 5 feet back and by 3 feet high, we suddenly (after maybe 8 years of trying) got it! The peak was a couple of years back, when we had long retired from jumping, Sam was 28, me 68. Having done flatwork and ridden round all the jumps while everyone else practised them, Caroline asked if I wanted to, as the jumps were maximum 2' by this time. My old boy was bloody foot perfect over every single one. I was with him over every single one. More than one of us was in tears that day, and I ain't referring to the horse! It will be an emotional roller coaster for every single one of you. You will shriek with laughter, scream with frustration and cry with happiness. The MOST important thing, though, is that you will be surrounded by people who understand, by people who have gone through the same challenges, and come out the other side. And you will be helped along the way by people with the relevant and extensive training to help you on your journey. Just bring your sense of humour, the desire to improve, and the love of your horse. The comradeship which exists at camp will surround you!
