This wolf is an endangered species, only around 300 living in Mexico and the desert Southwest. I am trying a fabric collage from native dyed fabrics and trim, as well as stitching to "quilt." Don't know how well it is working; I like the wolf. She looks like a coyote, only with white on the face.

Trying the running stitch Melissa taught me to create a mountain range, will add seed stitch after seeing Caroline's example.
Seed stitching
I've been practicing the seed stitch Melissa taught me in her workshop last month. And also taking her advice on choosing thread color that I can actually see (rather than match) what's on my print. The first is an eco-print of an onion skin on paper & I stitched over a wild grass that came out blurry in the print. Any feedback? I don't like that triangle shape at the top, would like to to get it more wavy like grass. The next print with the red flowers is what I plan to do next, maybe in the same green. Or maybe not.

Super gorgeous, Caroline! I am remembering the seed stitch too.
Relief printing on fabric
These are some block prints I made on fabric today. I used Speedball screenprinting ink, and mixed red with silver. Once they’re dry, I will add stitched elements with embroidery. 😊❤️

A peek into my fabric-collage process. I’m working with the idea of an abstract landscape. So inspired by the incredible Tucson skies!!! ❤️❤️❤️

There are many Tucson sky colors! Not only are the sunsets beautiful, but the sunrises are gorgeous, too. Mostly I see those in the summer, when I get up early to avoid the heat, lol.
Oaxaca Travelog
Last August I spent 10 days with a group of mushroom foragers (some were scientists, some were artists, some were just mushroom enthusiasts) in the Sierra Norte mountains of Oaxaca. We went on several forages, collected a ton of mushrooms, and learned how to dye fibers with them! Last 2 pics are from "Vida Nueva" women's weaving coop and "Dixza" weaving studio/small farm in Teotitlan del Valle.
